Chapter 35

I finish putting all of our stuff out of the boxes an in the apartment.
I hear the front door unlock. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. A tear falls from my eye and I wipe it away quickly.
I turn around and Josh is standing at the top of the steps taking his jacket off.
"Hey pretty!" He says.
"Hi handsome!"
He walks over and kisses my lips. I fake a smile.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"Nothing! I have big news to tell you!"
"Me too."
"You go first." I say sitting down at the kitchen table.
"Ok. So I went to a few interviews today and right when I'm driving home I get a call from the recreational faculty. They want me to be the head hockey coach for the beginner kids." Josh says.
I smile! "Wow! That's amazing!"
"I know! I feel like our life is coming together, I won't even be working when we have time off. When you are still in school I will go during my breaks! We finally can start a life together. I love you so much!" Josh says.
"I love you too."
"Now what did you want to tell me?" He asks.
I sigh, "Um! I got a job too! The children's hospital called me and wanted me to be a nurses assistant. I will be working during a class period too." I say.
I start to fiddle with my hair. Josh is too eager to notice.
"What is for dinner? I'm starving!" I ask.
"Oh! I totally forgot about that. You know what? Let's go out! My treat!"
----At the resteraunt----
"Can I have the spaghetti with breadsticks?" I ask.
The waiter nods then collects our menus and walk away.
I look at the table across from ours and see there food. I have a sudden urge to puke.
"Chlo? Are you okay?" Josh asks.
I nod then cover my mouth with my sleeve.
We get our food and I pound it.
"Ready to go home?" Josh asks.
I nod.
----The next day----
"Ok mom! I'll talk to you tomorrow! Love you bye!" I say before I put my phone down.
I stand up and walk over to the bathroom to wash my face.
Before I do I hear the front door open then slam.
I walk out with a confused look on my face.
I see Josh walk up the stairs.
"Josh we need to talk!" I say.
He throws his bags down.
"So the flight agency called. Our flight is canceled! And they aren't getting our money back! You know what everything is just going down the drain!! We can't go see anyone! And worse we can't even get our $120 back we paid for tickets"
Josh yells.
"I'm sorry. Um Josh we need-"
He interrupts me,
"And now we have to pay for half of the rent when we were gonna get money from our parents!" Josh yells.
"I need to tell you-"
He interrupts me again, "You know what? I didn't even want this apartment because-"
I interrupt him,
"Josh I'm pregnant!" I state.
He closes his eyes and calmly asks,
"You're what?"
"I'm pregnant!" I say. A few tears trickle down my cheeks.
"But? Wait! Is that what you have been trying to tell me?" He asks.
I nod. I wipe my tears with the sleeve of my sweater.
Josh comes close to me and pulls me into his chest. I start balling.
"Sh! Don't cry!" Josh says brushing my hair with his hand.
"I'm so sorry!" I cry.
"Don't be sorry. But didn't we use-" I interrupt him
"I guess not."
"When did you find out?" He asks.
"Yesterday." I cry even more.
"I'm so sorry beautiful. I led you on to this."
We just sit there together. After about 5 minutes my phone goes off.
I walk over to the counter and grab it. Paige.
I look over at Josh.
"Just answer it." He whispers. I clear my throat and wipe my tears.
"Hello?"
"Hi Chloe! How are you? We haven't talked in forever."
"Alright! Just really tired!"
"Oh. I just wanted to check in on you and Josh. He hasn't answered his phone."
I look over at him. He is staring at me with sympathetic eyes.
"Yeah we're good. Uh, Why don't you call me back tomorrow? Now isn't a really good time."
"Ok. Well talk to you tomorrow."
Then I hang up.
I just stare at Josh.
"We have to tell Paige." He says.
I nod.
"Can we figure this all out tomorrow I really want to go to bed." I say.
Josh nods.
Josh and I head into bed.
5 hours feels like an eternity. I haven't gotten any sleep. It's about 2:45 a.m.
I turn on my back and stare up at the ceiling.
Josh turns his head towards me.
"Can't sleep?" He asks.
I shake my head.
"Come here." He says.
I move over to him. He is on the right side of the bed I'm on the left.
I lay my head on his chest listening to his heart beat.
"Josh. What do we do?" I ask.
"I'm not sure but we will figure it out."
"Josh we are 19 year olds in college. We can't even afford a car. Much less a baby." I say.
Josh kisses my head.
"I though this was supposed to make people more happy and joyful." Josh jokes.
I look up at him, "Funny!"
"I'm serious. It's not gonna be that bad. You'll be 20 before the baby comes. You're already an adult you can make your own decisions." Josh says.
"It's not that easy though. I wasn't planning on having a child till I was married."
After that is was silent and I slowly fell asleep on Josh's chest.////end of chapter 35

If you guys think it's weird that she is pregnant please don't think that. I had to add a little more drama. And I'm pretty positive this will maybe be the last book in the series but I will write more.
