Chapter 38

"Josh hand me the ketchup." I say.
"So what do you want?" Mikey asks.
"Ketchup!" I say confused.
"No I meant about the baby."
"Um I want a girl." I say. "And I want a boy." Josh adds.
"Just imagine in a few months you will know." Mikey says. I smile and look over at Josh.

"Goodnight guys." Josh says closing our bedroom door. Mikey and Paige are spending the night.
I walk over to the bed and lay down.
Josh comes over to me and kisses my head. I smile.
"It's not that bad." I say.
"What isn't?" "This! It might be exciting. We are adults. I mean my mom might not think that but we can do this." I say.
Josh smiles and kisses me. I laugh and keep kissing him.
"Josh I'm tired." I say in between kisses.
He stops kissing me and turns off the lamp.

"Chloe! I cannot believe this! You are so irresponsible! This is so unlike you! Your father and I are very disappointed in you. Don't talk to me ever again!" My mom says.
"Mom!" I start to cry.
My mom storms out of the house.
"Josh!" My dad yells.
My dad runs over to Josh and punches him in the face.
Josh falls to the ground. My dad starts kicking him.
"Dad stop!! Stop it! you're hurting him!" I yell.

I wake up and am breathing heavily.
I see Josh sitting up and hovering over me.
I grab his shirt and pull myself into his chest. I start crying, "Josh! I can't tell her! They'll hate me!" I cry.
"No don't worry about that. It will be fine." Josh says trying to comfort me.
I cry into his shoulder.
"It was just a dream. It was just a dream." Josh whispers.
He rubs my back.

The next morning

I got no sleep last night. I look out my window and see that it is cloudy.
Josh doesn't have work today nor I. The hospital doesn't know I'm pregnant.
I keep looking out the window and run to the bathroom to puke.
I feel a pair of hands pull back my hair. Josh. He starts to rub my back.
I close the top of the toilet and sit down. I smile at Josh.
"Well good morning." He says.
"Good morning. Ug I hate mornings." I say standing up.
"Are Paige and Mikey awake?" I ask walking out.
"No."
I look at the clock and it is a little after 8.
Paige is on the couch and Mikey is on the floor.
I laugh.
"So what do you want to do today?" Josh asks.
"Uh I'm not sure. I have a doctors appointment in a week from today." I say.
It's Sunday.
Paige starts to wake up.
"Hi Paige!" Josh says.
She waves, still half asleep.

Afternoon

"Josh! Mom's on the phone." Paige says handing her phone over to him.
"Hello?" Josh says walking over to the kitchen.
"Does she know?" Paige asks. I shake my head.
"Just you Mikey and Josh." I reply.
"They'll know sometime. They all want to come and visit soon."
I sigh, "Well they won't know Now but before the baby comes I will make sure they know." I say standing up.////end of chapter 38
