It is the first day of our 1 month winter break. Josh and I are sophomores and our relationship has had it's ups and downs but we learn to manage.
My major at Yale is nursing and his is a sports coach.
We are getting an apartment between our colleges so we can see eachother more than 1 day per week.
"Chloe where do you want the bed?" Mikey asks lugging it up the stairs with Josh.
"Um just put it in the bedroom." I say.
"Josh you're sleeping on the couch!" Mikey jokes.
"Aw man!" Josh kids.
I laugh.
"Let's go get some more boxes." I tell Paige.
We walk outside to the truck. Paige got accepted into another Conneticut college. It is farther though.
"So you think you can manage?" Paige asks.
"Yeah. I mean my mom said she can help pay as long as Josh and I keep our jobs and our grades up."
"Well that sounds pretty easy." Paige says grabbing a box.
We walk inside and drop the last boxes off.
"Well that was fun!" Mikey jokes. I laugh.
"Why don't we get something to eat?" I suggest.
After about 20 minutes we all get back to the apartment with McDonald's.
"So how are you guys gonna do school?" Brandon asks.
"This is about 20 minutes to my school and 30 to Josh's." I say.
"Ah I see!"
----4 hours later----
"I think we should probably start heading out." Mikey says.
Paige and him are the only ones who stayed.
"Ok. Thank you guys for helping." Josh says.
Paige gives me a hug and whispers, "Have fun!"
I slap her arm. We walk them down the stairs and lead them outside. They get into Mikey's car and drive off.
I turn around and look at Josh.
"Well, we did it!" I say.
He smiles. "Yeah!"
I kiss his cheek then walk upstairs.
"What time is it?" I ask.
"10:30."
"That late! Wow." I say opening my duffle bag grabbing my pajamas.
I walk into the bathroom and close the door.
"We live together now!" Josh says.
I laugh. "It's not that bad!" He says.
I just keep laughing trying to get him to change the subject.////end of chapter 33
