Chapter 14

"Hey Chloe, some of us are going to the amusement park this weekend. Wanna come?" My friend Miranda asks. "Sure. I would love to."
It's been about 2 days since Josh came. He hasn't been back.
He could still be here.
He could be home.
He could be somewhere far away.
He could be at university of Toronto.
----The weekend----
"Ready Chloe?" Miranda asks knocking on my door.
"Coming." I say putting a hair tie In my braid.
I open the door and Miranda says, "We aren't going to a fancy resteraunt." I laugh.
We get to the park and I see something familiar.
"Which ride do you want to go on first." Miranda asks.
"Um how about that one." I say pointing to the tallest one there.
"Are you serious. That's a rollercoaster. Aren't you afraid of heights?" Miranda chuckles.
I look over at her and say, "No. I'm perfectly fine." I start to fiddle with the end of my braid. (Anyone remember?)
We all walk to the ride and stand in the long line for about 20 minutes before making it to the front.
I sit down in the cart and pull the harness over me. Miranda sits next to me.
"Are you sure? Do you want me to hold your hand?" She jokes. I laugh and am about to pull the hair tie out of my hair when the ride starts.
We go up the hill on the ride and I look to the side. I see a black truck.
A familiar black truck.
But there is a white sticker on the back.
Not familiar.
We go down the hill. Miranda and I start screaming.
The ride ends and we unbuckle our seat belts. I keep playing with my hair. Something doesn't seem right.
"How was it?" Miranda asks.
I give her a thumbs up.
We walk down the stairs and I see someone I never thought I would see again. Ever.
