Chapter 29

Josh intertwines his fingers with mine and leads me to the swing set.
I sit down on one and he does the same.
"What's up?" I ask.
"I have been thinking and thinking and thinking."
"About what?" I ask slowly.
"College." Josh states.
I look at him confused.
He sticks his hand in his pocket and pulls out a folded piece of paper.
"Read this." He says handing me the paper.
I open the crinkled paper and read.

Dear Joshua Hyland,
Congratulations! From very high responses you have been accepted into the University of Conneticut.

And then I stop there.
I look up at Josh when a tear falls from my eye.
"University of Conneticut?" I ask.
Josh nods. I smile and then laugh.
"I love you Chloe!"
"I love you too!" I say.
I move my swing closer to him and gently place my lips on his.
"OK! LOVEBIRDS!" Mikey yells.
I stop kissing Josh and laugh.
Josh and I stand up. I wrap my arms around Josh. Embracing him in a hug.
----The next morning----
I open my eyes and see the bright light shining in from Mikey's window.
I am laying on the couch.
The house is a mess! There is tons of trash on the ground.
Last night was fun! Everyone left at about 1:30 and we all stayed up till about 2:45.
I sit up and look around. No one is here.
I Stand up and walk to the refrigerator to get a water bottle.
I get upstairs and all the girls are laying in the guest room either on the floor or on the bed. I smile and try to wake them up.
"What time is it?" Paige murmurs.
I look over at the clock.
"Uh about 8:45." I says
Paige flutters her eyes open.
"Now wake up the girls while I find the boys." I say
I walk down the long flight of stairs.
The boys aren't anywhere In the house.
I hear the girls talking upstairs.
I head towards the stairs and something catches my eye.
The curtain. It is open some and see someone.
I walk towards the curtains and see Zach laying on a lawn chair sleeping.
I open the back door and all the boys are sleeping on lawn chairs.
I start laughing.
"Oh my god!" I jump and turn around. Paige is standing behind me.
"Well no wonder they didn't come In last night." I say.
"What do we do?" I ask.
"Just leave them. They always do it!" Paige says walking back inside.
I shrug and go to get a back of cereal.
"Did Josh tell you?" Paige asks.
"About college?" I ask.
She nods.
"Yes! I am so happy!" I say.
"He has actually been thinking about this for a few months and finally got a letter back." She says opening the refrigerator.
I walk over to the keurig and make some coffee.
"It's 62 miles." I say sighing.
"Yeah. But it is better than being in a different country!" Paige says pouring milk into a glass.
I hear the boys talking. I look out the window and see them all sitting up and walking in.
"Morning!" Paige says.
"Why didn't you guys wake us? Those lawn chairs are horrible. It only works at Josh's." Mikey says.
I laugh.
Josh comes inside and walks over to me.
He wraps his arms around me embracing me in a hug.
"Why so giddy?" I ask.
"I am just in a giddy mood." He says.
I laugh.
"You need some coffee." I say getting a mug out. ////end of chapter 29
