Chapter 2:

Lexie Pov:

I heard a hoot from under the house, so I left the room as soon as possible and ran to the car where my roommates were waiting. Despite my best efforts, I didn't manage to get 100% ready, so I decided to put makeup on myself in the car. I hurried into my car, fastened my seat belt, and started applying my makeup.

- "We were about to leave," - Meredith commented on my delay. - "Anyway, what was it all about this morning?"

- "About Alex and his other friend" - April replied with frustration - "That is what usually." 

- "It must have been something serious, because you were quite loud," - my sister said- "And you, Alex, could finally find the one."

- "I found and she escaped,"- Alex said, clearly nervous that we were bringing up the subject. - "And secondly, maybe we'll finish the subject of my love life, I don't interfere with yours."

"Don't be so nervous anymore," - Jackson replied. - "Coming back to the topic, you have some interesting operations today, cases, because after I screwed up at Sheperd's and Cristina's taking away every surgery in cardiac surgery, I don't have much to do. I've even made up all the documentation for this week and beyond."

- "Derek and I are dealing with new people today for the clinical trial on Alzheimer and we do not need a hand to help." - my sister replied proudly

- "I work in the emergency room with Dr. Hunt and I am waiting for the best cases in trauma surgery" - said proudly April - "And additionally I have to look at the board for next week and schedule my duties." - she added with less enthusiasm.

- "Me and Mark are doing facial reconstruction tonight." - I replied this time with great satisfaction - "The man has no skin on half of his face, how exciting it will be."

- "Lucky you guys, Meredith has Derek, one of the best neurosurgeons in the world, and you have Sloan who doesn't have uninteresting surgeries."- Jackson said

- "They knew how to position themselves,"- added Alex

- "I won't comment on it,"- I replied to my colleagues' stupid overtones

- "Coming back to you Jackson, I heard that Dr. Webber is starting a new clinical trial and he needs help from one of the residents" – April say to Avery

- "Thanks to April you always think about me and you want to help me as the only one" - Jackson thanked her with a slight sarcasm.

- "How many years do you even know each other?"- I asked Avery and Kepner

- "From the beginning of the internship,"- Jackson replied.

- "We met on our first day internship at Mercy West, and somehow we formed a package with Charls and Reed."- The redhead added, with a sad face on her face.

I knew how hard it must be for them to work in the hospital where their best friends died. I myself have a great trauma after these events, although I have not lost anyone. You could say that I was the most crazy after that. I had to lie in psychiatry for 2 days in a coma, because I had an attack in the emergency room and I thought that the patient was asking me to die. Since those events, I have been trying to support April, although we were never close, she even irritated me terribly.

The awkward silence was broken by Meredith:

- "We are here" - the blonde announced to us - "I wish you all a nice day!" - She added when we all got out of the car and everyone went on their own way to the hospital.
