Lexie Pov:

- "Let me put it this way, I did not think that with the fact of leaving the past behind, it will look like this for you." - I heard Amelia's voice on the phone.

- "Neither do I." - I said, standing at the reception desk during one of the free fifteen minutes - "But I had good intentions. It's not my fault that everything is against me in my life."

- "Oh, so I'm against you too?" - She asked, offended with irony in her voice.

- "I'm not telling much here, okay?" - I asked with equal contempt - "If you come up with something ... You would just tell yourself ..."

- "I'm sorry, mom .." - she said jokingly and we both burst out laughing. - "What are you going to do with Mark?" - She asked after a moment of laughter.

- "I will avoid him for as long as I can." - I said and made a face that showed the confidence I put in this plan.

- "But you know you can't avoid him forever"- She asked - "I just want to be sure if you are aware that you are working in the same place. You can meet him at the ER, operating room or elevator."

- "You must have spoiled this moment .. probably joy that I can ignore him for now?" - I asked

- "That's what I am,"- she said. - "And I know you love me for it."

- "Damn, it's bad that you have to be led out of this mistake,"- I joked.

- "Oh you bitch! You know, but LA doesn't have enough sand and sun for you to come anymore. I'm so sorry," - my friend replied. - Next thing! Howis the hot sex thing with Mr. Avery?"

- " Amelia, it's not funny. I really made things bad and I avoid them too." - I said not with as much excitement as a moment earlier.

I was tired of this case. Especially that for the last few weeks April has been at my disposal and I was able to do something that she had dreamed of long before me. Ahh everything gets so complicated and at one time. It's probably the Seattle atmosphere that spoils everything, or I'm telling myself something.

- "Haven't you seen those lovebirds at all?" - Shepherd asked curiously. - "Well, tell me a little. You know very well that LA is boring and there's nothing to gossip about."

- "Yesterday as I was leaving, I met them in the elevator. It was unexpected for all three of us."- I said, remembering that awkward moment.

- "Did you catch them? In the elevator? No, then Addie, when she talked about those elevators of yours, she wasn't lying." - She said, and I was speechless.

- "God! No! I didn't catch them! Well, at least not with what you think!" - I shouted. - "They kissed many times and that's all. Then they noticed me, they were surprised and they were paged so they went."

- "Ehh, boring,"- she said, and I laughed.

- "Doctor Grey' - I heard a voice behind me and I knew immediately who it belongs to - "I need help with the insertion of the central venous catheter." - added Leah Murphy, now standing next to me.

- "They're calling me,"- I told Amelia - "I'll be right there, give me two minutes,"- I replied to the blonde, then she walked away.

- "Who cannot insert a central venous catheter?" - Shepherd asked. - "I understand in the first week, but how long is she here?"

- "About a month,"- I replied.

- "Well, she should have practice, after all you wear one almost every day."
- "I can easily teach her, she has a good resident hah" - I replied - "They had a difficult situation at the beginning. I was in LA at the time and there was no resident for them. So they had to fend for themselves. Which makes them a bit saucy, but I'll straighten them out."

- "You got this girl!" - she motivated me - "Okay, I'm finishing too and I'm going to ER, maybe some surgery will happen."

- "Lucky you! I do not know if I will enter the operating room by the end of the week."

- "Life of Attending! They call it like this! But take it easy, only 3 years ahead of you." - she comforted me, and then I hung up.

The shift is finally over. I was very pleased with this sentence. Just the thought and the possibility of being done right now. Another day is behind me and it wasn't that bad, unless something suddenly hits my life. Like every night for almost a month. If this happens, when for God sake, I go to an exorcist. How many times can something bad happen to one person. Where was my luck to success and so on. Ahh long to talk and complain.

The lottery jackpots I won today also include the fact that I haven't met either Jackson or Mark. So I went back to work with Derek and diagnosed with glioblastoma. So I guess everything is leveling up. And from what I've heard, Zola is at home, waiting for me, and her gift will come with me.

How I waited for the elevator every day. Today, hoping that I won't meet any couple kissing there. I was hoping that I would go downstairs in peace and leave the hospital building. Then I'll walk home and play with my niece and have a glass of wine.

The elevator opened and was thankfully empty. I was a little relieved. Without hesitating, I got in and turned to press the number 0 button. Moments later the door closed and the elevator began to go down. She stopped on the second floor and I saw him outside the door. Amelia was right, or rather she had caused it. I met Mark Sloan in the elevator.

Lexie act normal. Like an adult. You can't blame him for forgetting you already, and you're still a despairing peer. You need to stop worrying about him. Everything about him is over a month ago!

I looked at him and he looked at me. We gave each other short, kind but awkward smiles and our eyes flickered in opposite directions. He stood against the wall and looked at his legs. He didn't press the button, which means that he also goes to the ground floor.

The elevator started, but within 10 seconds it had stopped. All in all, it hit her a lot, and I almost flew out. Luckily, I got my balance at the last minute if I wouldn't have had to be ashamed of my ex for being clumsy yet. A moment later I noticed that we stopped between the second and the first floor. It only meant one thing.

- "I think the elevator broke,"- Sloan said after a while. - "We just have to wait here ... together."- He added, and I was surprised.

Together? I don't want to spend even minute with him now! It's not that his company bothers me, but rather that I haven't come to terms with everything yet ...

Compare it to a wound. If you keep cutting it open, it will never grow. And this is also the case with me a bit.

So I immediately went to the door and started banging on it and screaming. I was hoping that someone would hear us, call a service to fix it, and I would be right out of here. Because I didn't feel like spending too much time here. I just preferred to leave without giving up any tears.

- "Help! Help! The elevator is stuck!" - I screamed and pounded nonstop.

- "You know it won't help? Just tear your throat and bruise your hands," - he said, standing against the wall, - "They already know that something is broken, so they'll let us out soon."

- "I'd rather make sure they know because I'm not going to spend too much time here." - I replied.

- "You hate me that much?" - He asked with my back to him. At his words, I turned and looked him straight in the eyes.

Another chapter is behind us!

Lexie talks to Amelia about what she saw the night before. Tonight doesn't look like she'd like it either, because she's stuck in the elevator. With Mark

How do you think they will reconcile? Will it come to something between them? How long will it take for them to get out of there? Or maybe they will quarrel?
