April Pov:

I've just finished my shift, and I'm relieved to meet Lexie after last night. From what Jackson wrote, he found her, and I suppose she's home right now because she wasn't at work today. She also wrote back to me this morning that she is fine. I hope that we will be able to talk quickly and honestly and that I will be able to help her as much as possible.

I was very busy at work all day. I didn't even have time to eat lunch, much less talk to Jackson or Alex. I spent most of my time in ER, and today I was lucky enough to assist in two surgeries.

As I wanted to get home as soon as possible and I do not have my car yet, I decided to look for Alex, who from what I remember ends today at the same time as me. With a quick and excited step, I headed into the so-called Children's World, where I was sure that I would find Karev.

And I was right, immediately after crossing the threshold of the children's land of our hospital, I saw my friend standing at the reception desk.

- "Hi!" - I said standing next to him and giving him a smile.

- "Hi April?!" - He replied and looked at me confused - "Do you have a lockjaw that you are smiling all the time?"

- "Do you always have to be like this? I come to you and I want to ask for something, and you must always bite me!"

- "It's not my fault you look like this. Be happy that I am worried about you and your face." - he replied sarcastically - "Will you be standing there and looking at me? Or maybe you will finally ask what you want from me?"

- "I need a ride"- I said and offered a pleading smile.

- "Where?" - he replied, as always grumpy and not pleased that he has to do something

- "To home"

- "You're lucky I end work in 10 minutes"- he replied

- "So you will take me?"

- "Yes! Go get ready. In 10 minutes in the parking lot. If you are late I'm leaving!" - he said, but I was far enough away that I barely heard him.

From the excitement and the fact that I was already dressed and finally had 10 minutes off, I decided to write to Lexie if I could buy her something to eat in the hospital shop.

To Lexie from April:

Hey Lexie, Alex and I are going home soon and I thought maybe you want something to eat or drink or whatever from the store?

Lexie didn't write back fast enough for me to have time to go and buy her something, so I decided to do my own shopping. I bought buns, orange juice, a few chocolate snacks, wafers and sparkling wine so that we could loosen up with today's gossip. Now I was waiting under Alex's car with a net of quite heavy purchases.

- "And I was supposed to be late!" - I exclaimed when I saw my friend slowly walking - "You could hurry, my hands will fall off through this net!"

- "What if you bought again, as if there was little food in the house!" - he exclaimed

- "This isn't for me you idiot, it's for Lexie. Because I don't know if you don't remember, but we found her yesterday."

- "I remember it very well. And you don't get up like that anymore, because you will really see this lockjaw and wrinkles."

- "Make sure that the plum does not appear under your eyes" - I said

- "Don't upset me anymore, just get in this car. You're just whining and whining," - he complained
