Mark Pov:
I drove Callie home and decided to look for Lexie. I thought for a long time whether the conversation was a good idea now, but I realized that only thanks to it we will be able to explain what has happened in the last few days.
The first place I decided to visit when looking for it was Joe's bar. I got there pretty quickly and a moment later I was inside, looking for a girl I really care about. I couldn't see her anywhere, which made me conclude that she was simply not here.
However, I decided to ask the owner, who was still standing behind the bar, if he had seen a brunette anywhere:
- "Joe, haven't you seen Lexie in or around the bar tonight?"
- "This time I won't help you, I haven't seen her since the night she was here with April." - he replied
- "Thanks for your willingness anyway"- I added and headed for the exit. - "Goodnight Joe."
- "Have a good night, Mark"
I got in the car again and this time I went straight to the hospital. I turned off the engine, got out of the vehicle, locked it moments later and headed for the main entrance. I crossed the threshold and saw ...
Her, walking rather briskly, towards the other wing of the hospital. We managed to make eye contact for a moment. When she saw me, she was very surprised and automatically very nervous, she speed up even more.
I decided to go, in the end I came here to confront her and talk honestly. As it turned out, Lexie Grey is quite fast, because not wanting to lose her, I almost had to run. Around the last corner of our "race" she entered the ladies' bathroom, which forced me to wait underneath it for the girl to decide to leave. She has to go out after all, she won't spend the night there, and so far I have time. I'll even spend the night in the corridor if necessary.
About 5 minutes passed when the door opened and I saw Lexie behind them. She was not as happy as always, as if deprived of her aura, which she infects every day. At this point, she was less in disarray than the last time we saw each other.
The girl looked at me with a cold, regretful look and passed me as quickly as possible, again trying to get away from me as quickly as possible.
- "Lexie! Can you hear me out?" - I shouted after the girl, trying to keep up with her pace. - "Please give me 5 minutes and you'll be free!"
- "Still don't you understand that I don't want to talk to you ?! Can't you let go?"
- "Sometimes it's not worth letting go! It is the same in this situation!"
- "You see, we probably still have a different opinion on this subject, as on many others as well!"
We were approaching the on-call room, so I took the chance. As I knew Lexie would not speak to me voluntarily, I decided to create a situation where maybe we could talk.
I equaled her and took her arm, unlocking the door and making us both enter the room. I quickly closed the door and stood in front of them to make sure the girl didn't get away before I could talk to her.
- "Let me out"- she said in a rather firm voice, I could see that she was close to exploding emotions.
- "Hear me out first"- I replied calmly
- "I'm gonna start yelling!"
- "Lex, we're adults, let's not act like kids."
- "Then start acting like a grown man who understands that I don't want to talk to him right now or look at him. Do I speak Chinese that you cannot understand my one and only request?" - she asked irritably
