Chapter 43

Alex Pov:

- "I'm just waiting for them to call me to some new case" - I said honestly to my brown haired friend - "I'm going there only because I heard that there is supposed to be food."

- "Do not say that! You can't do that! You got the invitation so you should go! After all, you are close to Arizona." - answered Little Grey informally - "But I also heard that there is something good to eat. I've been eating so much lately that it's a massacre. I think I even put on weight."

- "Well, you seem so rounded after this return from LA" - I admitted I was right, and I got a fist in the arm from the girl.

- "You asshole! How dare you!"

- "I only honestly agreed with you! You said yourself that you are eating greedily like never before! I just agreed with that!" - I replied defending myself against the charges.

- "You're driving me crazy Alex!" - she announced, and we both started laughing.

- "Do you think it's enough that I go in there, sit for 20 minutes, eat something good and then I can leave?"

- "Alex! You've been invited. It won't do well. What more interesting would you have to do?" - she asked

- "You know.... I could look for your intern ... Or just sleep ... Maybe I would be lucky and I wouldn't have to be alone...while sleeping" - I replied, explaining myself sufficiently - "Oh I already know perfectly well that you also go there only for appearances!"

- "What?" - She pretended to be surprised - "What are you talking about? I'm going there because... because me and Mark are friends and I'm going to support all three of them. Send them... .. wishes for a new way of life!"

- "Lexie, who are you kidding? Me and the rest of the world, or yourself?" - I asked quite seriously

- "What do you mean, Alex?! Calm down and stop spoiling my day! I'm going there because maybe I want to!? And you will come with me and keep me company!" - She answered slightly pissed off - "Maybe you are a bit right ... but only slightly. I promised to come and do that. I've already broken too many promises."

- „Oh, so I have to talk to you, because you have no one with whom you can besides me?" - I asked, trying to lighten the atmosphere with a joke in my style.

- „Who am I supposed to talk to? Probably not with a chair." - she replied ironically.

- „You know, you could, I don't know, talk to Mer, Mark, you are friends after all. You still need to talk to Callie and say her like you put it ... ah, yes wishes. And finally you could talk to Kepner. Our square broke because of yours argue."- I continued joking

- „What square?" - I asked, laughing under her breath.

- „Come on, me, you, Kepner and Avery. You know, after your breakup we were pretty close.... Well, now two princesses are gone! Avery is following the redhead and I must follow you." - I explained

- „When did you soften this way?" - she asked with a smile on her face.

- „That's what happens when you have to look after everyone!" - I replied

- „I'm gonna shed a tear! Alex Karev matures emotionally!"

- „I'll do something to you in a minute!" - I reply, and I walk over to her, just like she, to pat her on the shoulder, when suddenly Grey runs towards the aisle to the boss's office. - „Where are you running?" - I ask a moment later when I finally caught up with her.

- „We will go the longer way" - she says, and I give her an incomprehensible look - „To come late, which will mean that we will be able to spend a few minutes less there."
