Meant to Be

Chapter 1

Lexie Pov:

Mark and I have been dating back for about a month. After the shooting and everything that followed, things start to fall into place. I can say without hesitation that we are soulmates and cannot live without each other.

The day was going to be nice - but I didn't expect what the nightmare would turn into.

I was awakened by the screams coming from the living room, I looked at my watch, which was showing 5:30 and I ran downstairs as quickly as possible to see what was happening. As I might have guessed, I found Alex and April arguing once again and standing to the side of Jackson, looking quite amused. I decided not to interrupt my roommates' arguments and walked over to Jackson.

- "What was it all about?"- I asked my amused friend.

- " April got pissed off with Karev because his next "friend" came to her bathroom and ate her breakfast portions".- Jackson replied.

"Let's listen to them arguing a little longer, then let's get over it, or they'll kill each other and wake Derek and Meredith." - I suggested.

- "When you bring "friends" home, at least you could watch them and learn that you knock and do not take any other things."- April shouted at Alex.

- "Relax, April, Lexie keeps going to the bathroom for you and it doesn't bother you, it's normal in this house, you'll get used to it." - Alex replied disinterestedly - "and as for breakfast you will make yourself new, you still have some time."

- "I don't mean breakfast, but my deodorant, which after her visit to Lexie and mein bathroom some magical way ended. I just bought it yesterday." - My roommate explained a little calmer -" And anyway, if you already sell accommodation in your bedroom, you could also take care of meals."

 -"You didn't mention the deodorant," - I laughed at Jackson, to which he replied,

- "It's time to get this under control."- He replied

- "Can you get it together?" - I turned to arguing friends.

- "Tell this to him and his friend, who is clearly not very well behaved "- April replied irritated. Jackson laughed at her words, but his gaze quickly calmed down at my reprimand.

- "Okay then yes, you April, try to forget about the bathroom and breakfast situation, and as for deodorant, Alex will pay you back for it, right?" - I turned to Karev.

-" Why should I give her money for something I haven't used up? '' - Alex asked with a little frustration.

- "This will be a lesson for you to watch over your friends."- Avery replied, barely bursting into laughter.

- "Could you please be a little quieter at this hour, others want to sleep." - said a nervous Meredith, who had obviously been awakened by our discussions and now standing on the stairs, looking slightly. - "and besides, if you want me to drive you to the hospital, you have 15 minutes and I'm leaving".

- "And it's fantastic having to eat in the hospital canteen again, thanks to Karev."- Kepner replied frustrated.

- "You're welcome, ducky,"- Alex replied with a silly smirk.

- "Fuck you,"- Kepner shouted from the kitchen where she was now.

- "Oh, Jesus, it's so late,"- I realized, glancing at the clock on the wall.

- "I'm not waiting for anyone, no delays," - my sister shouted after me, as I was on the stairs, on the way to my room, to prepare for work in a hurry.
