Alex Pov:
With Lexie's abrupt departure, the atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable. A decision was made that we should let her cool down and think. I am not sure if this is really the right decision. All in all, Mer made it, and nobody seemed to want to thicken the atmosphere anymore. Grey is worried about her little sister, but unfortunately she is used to the fact that when someone has a problem, he should face it alone, be with himself and, above all, not worry others. So did her mother, father, people she grew up with, and so does she herself. I just don't know if Lexie can handle herself.
It's after midnight, Lexie left about two hours ago. She does not answer phone calls, does not reply to messages. Nobody knows where she is or if she's okay. I can't sleep on all this, all my roommates are probably asleep, and I wonder how I could help Younger Grey. I know I was nasty to her and I should never say what I said. But I do regret it.
I realized that Lexie had supported me once, too, including after Izzie left. I know I have to repay her and now I have the opportunity to do so. So I quickly jumped out of bed, opened the door quite quietly so as not to wake anyone up, and headed for Jackson's room.
- "Avery! We can't leave her like this. We have to wake April up and find her. See how dark and cold and wet outside? Wake up, there's no time!" - I said opening the door to my friend's room.
- "Alex, we were about to wake you up"- replied the red-haired Kepner next to him. -"I couldn't sleep on it all so I came over to Jackson to do something about it and it turned out he couldn't too so we started thinking what to do and we were going to wake you up right now, but you overtook us."
- "I can't sleep either. It drives me crazy, the mere thought that she is out there alone, possibly in the cold." - I replied - "So what's your plan?"
- "Since I'm the only sober one of the three of us," - Avery said - We thought I would go look further afield, to the hospital, Joe and so on, to places she could end up, and you and April would walk nearby. and most of all they waited at home, at least until morning. Maybe she'll come back and just go for a very long walk."
- "I already told you, Jackson, it's not a long walk." - Kepner said irritably.
- "But we should wait, there's a chance she'll come back. She didn't take clothes, documents, nothing, so she couldn't be without any of these things for a long time." - I replied
- "I guess there is nothing left for me to do what you say, since there are two of you and I am one." - she said - "That's one thing now, are we telling Meredith, Derek and the rest?"
- "No need for now." - I replied - "Why are you looking at me like that, April?" - I added when I noticed how my friend is looking at me. There was an expression of disbelief, surprise and, above all, irritation on her face.
- "There's no need?! God Alex, you're either so laid back or you don't really worry about her and don't give a damn about it. I honestly don't care why you do it, whether you want to get out of this whole situation as a hero, or maybe you just suddenly took on a super buddy to help with any problem. But I don't know if you noticed but she is desperate, she just lost the love of her life, the man she wanted to start a family with, build a warm and loving home. The guy who just put it on and she doesn't understand why and blames herself. So there is a need to find her and help her feel good, no matter what."
- "Are you implying that Lexie is not important to me ?! That I don't give a shit about her? That I'm only doing it because she's Mer's little sister ?! If you have doubts about my attitude towards her, tell me what is yours? Because, as far as I know, you've never liked her, and suddenly you're her great friend? Hmm what April?"
- "Believe me, you don't want to argue about it now! Probably not your business with whom and since when are friends."
- "Or maybe we need?! By what right are you suggesting to me that I am doing all this to raise the opinion of others about me?"
- "Hmm, maybe because six months ago, when she was your girlfriend, she risked her life for you, you left her because she had a problem and needed more attention, conversation, the presence of someone she trusts?!"
- "Because I also had problems after everything that happened! I also had to take care of myself because I don't know if you remember but I was shot!"
- "Solving your problems, you call bragging about your scar and the bullet they left you?! You think it's cool? And believe me, I remember perfectly well that you got the ball and that Lexie almost lost her life trying to save you!"
-" And I will be grateful to her for that for the rest of my life! But don't tell me how you might feel after such an experience, because you made it all right!"
- "What do you call the way out of this watching your best friend run out of a pool of blood from her head? You didn't lose anyone, me and Jackson said goodbye to our best friends, people who started the internship with us! You call it nothing?!"
- "I would like to express my condolences, I don't know which time, but know that we have lost so many valuable people here in this city, hospital, that something we are grateful for is that we are alive!"
- "Should I set you up on the accounts ?! Will you calm down on your own and start looking for Lexie, who shows no sign of life anymore?! What are you think about it?" - Jackson asked, nervous about our next fight.
Me and April argue quite often and we rarely agree. Usually, our arguments occur in the morning or in the evening, when we are all home, taking a break from the hospital's entertainment and activities. Usually, Lexie and Jackson try to calm us down and reconcile, which is sometimes not that simple. I seriously admire them that they want to settle matters that concern us once again.
- "Strangely so without Little Grey"- I said, after a moment of silence in the room, - "It's strange not to hear reprimands from both of you for another row."
- "It's weird not having your good cop on duty"- Avery said sarcastically.
- "It's weird not having a person who protects you from Alex" - the redhead added and we all laughed. - "In order for it not to be strange, we must find her as soon as possible" - added my roommate
- "It remains as we agreed that I am going to look in more distant places, and you in the area? Well, unless you two kill each other?"
- "I think I can stand it' - I replied and gave my friend a provocative look.
- "Oh, that's probably what I should say,"- she replied and quietly opened the door to head towards the exit from the house.
Then each of us put on outer clothes, shoes, took phones and house keys.
- "How about a set of warm clothes and blankets if we found her? Maybe she was walking into that downpour and she was all wet and cold." - April suggested.
- "Good idea, will you take?" - I asked.
- "I'll go"- Avery said, and quickly, but quietly so as not to wake everyone else, ran up the stairs and then into Lexie's room.

Another chapter is behind us!
April, Alex and Jackson struggle with the thought that Lexie is in a frosty court and decide to look for her. Unfortunately, there is a sharp exchange of views between Kepner and Karev.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter, it was shorter than usual, but I found it quite exciting.
Do you think will they find Lexie? Whose side are you on in the argument? Alex or April? Who do you think will find Lexie and where? April and Alex near the house, or Jackson further down town?
I am curious what you say about it, be sure to write in the comment. You can also leave stars and pass this fanficition to other people.
Thanks for reading!
