Lexie Pov:

My first long shift after my return has just ended. It was not that bad. A lot of work, but it allowed me to forget about everything I need to explain. In addition, almost all of my interns are little problem. They feel confident here, but I'll bring them back to earth.

In fact, I haven't seen any of my friends too much today. I managed to miss Mark, but I don't know if it was because he wasn't on duty today or because I was very lucky. It's good that I didn't have time for any meetings, because I would have to start explaining everything, and I don't know how yet.

I'm starting work back with Derek tomorrow, so that means I'm going back to Neurosurgery. But I don't want to close myself only to this, I'm going to try everything. Well, maybe I'll be avoiding Plastic Surgery for now.

Disguised in my everyday clothes, I finally head home. On foot, but I don't complain, because I've come to love walking a lot lately. They calm me down.

I headed for the elevator that goes all the way to the exit. I had to wait a while because she was driving from the very top. The door opened and my eyes saw ...

April and Jackson, who spared each other their feelings. Well, from a quiet first day till uncomfortable situation Grey . It was the first thing I thought of when I saw them. Act natural. With Jackson, there was only one cheer-up time. Only how much can you tell yourself?

- "Lexie?!" - April shouted when she peeled off her potential boyfriend – "Aaaa!" - she added and threw herself on my neck.

As we stood there, I looked straight into Jackson's eyes. He's in mine too. He just looked at me differently than I did at him. He was happy and I am not surprised. He has a girlfriend, and they both probably have feelings for each other, and I think he is glad that I am back. I, on the other hand, looked at him happy, but feeling discomfort at the same time.

- "When did you get back?" - April asked with a smile.

- "Yesterday evening,"- I replied.

- "And you didn't call?" - they both asked at once and laughed.

- "I had a busy night. I had to go check on my dad, then I came over here to Hunt and started my shift." - I explained.

- "Aaa! You don't even know how I missed you!" - The redhead said.

- "Me too!" - Avery agreed, still standing in the back.

- "I missed you too,"- I replied and gave them a smile. Then I realized what a wonderful bond surrounds us.

- "Damn, if we weren't on duty now, we'd have jumped to Joe,"- my friend said.

- "The bar won't run away, so we'll definitely be able to get out soon." - I assured - "And today I am also exhausted and all I can think about is my bed." - I added, then all three of us heard a pager sound.

- "It's mine" - answered Jackson - "They are calling to the ER, two ambulances are going."

- "Then I have to go too" - added April - "See you at home! Or more likely at work tomorrow! And you don't even know how glad I am to have you back!"

- "Me too! And goodbye," - I replied and stepped into the now free elevator, then I shook myself and breathed a sigh of relief. I didn't even want to think about it. Today only positive thoughts. This day is mine.

Striving for this attitude, I made my way across Seattle streets to where I lived. I was hoping there would be something good in the fridge. Or at least that there will be products for something good. Additionally, I dreamed of meeting Zola and sleep, a lot of sleep.
