April Pov:

- "Who else is missing?" - asked Dr. Hunt, who had called a meeting a second ago, with all the specialists and the oldest residents.

- "Little Grey and Karev"- said Cristina, who was sitting across from me.

I don't understand a bit why they called this meeting. They usually take place in the morning, just before the morning round. Maybe it was some kind of emergency, or another shootout, or some infectious virus in the hospital. No April, don't panic, it's definitely nothing. You're just winding yourself up.

- "Sorry we're late,"- Alex said, stepping in with Lexie taking her seat next to me.

- "Since everyone is already present, I think we can start" - continued Hunt - "So in week days our hospital will be a revolutionary and most likely never unique surgery. What will it be? Full facial reconstruction."

- "Nice, huh?" - I asked my friend in a whisper.

- "Unusual" - she replied, but I could see that all he was focusing on was staring at Sloan with quite a lot of sadness. It almost looked like she was about to cry in a second.

- "All right?"

- "What?" - She asked as if pulled out of a trance – "So yeah, everything is fine"

- "I'm talking about the situation with Mark? How do you feel with it?"

- "I guess okay. I don't know what to feel when I broke everything." - she said completely emotionless.

- "We need a 2-person neurosurgical team and a 3-person plastic team. The assistants will choose Sloan and Sheperd, ideally you should do so now so you can all start practicing." - Hunt said. - "Gentlemens, get to the point, unless you need to think about it."

- "I'll start it"- said Mark Sloan.

From a distance, you could tell that he was staring at Lexie, who looked down at that moment. They always performed all the plastic treatments together. Everyone said that she would choose plastic surgery as her specialization. But after the last few days, it seems to me that she is praying intricately that he won't choose her. - "Avery and Karev. Do you agree?"

- "Yes." - my colleagues answered unanimously.

I noticed my friend starting to breathe again with relief and to stare at her lover. At the same time, she looks completely paralyzed. It seems as if no sound or movement was reaching her.

- "Well, I wish the person who helped me" - Sheperd began, at whose words Grey had once again gotten very tense - "was Lexie."

I looked at Lexie's face, which seemed to have yet to register the information.

- "Lexie, how about that?" - Derek asked

- "Yyyy"- my friend replied.

Everyone in the room was focusing their eyes on her now. And she herself looked scared, and completely drained of feelings and emotions. For a few seconds she stared at her fingers incessantly.

- "Lexie, you have to answer"- I poked her shoulder.

At that moment, she got up from the table and ran out of the room, hand on her mouth. The faces of the others showed great surprise and concern. They looked at each other, and then at each other, and so on, trying to understand what had just happened.

- "Why don't somebody go check on her." - Chief Hunt suggested.

As she is my close friend, I immediately got up and headed for the exit. Sloan was standing next to him, obviously wanting to go check. He looked quite confused and, most of all, extremely worried.
