Derek Pov:

- "Will we ride in such silence?" - I asked Lexie from next to me.

We've been driving for about 30 minutes, and Lexie didn't even say a word. I know it's hard for her. That she comes back to somewhere where everything is complicated, but I would like to somehow make her time back there happy.

- "I know how talkative you are always in the car. You're not closing your mouth" - I added, giving her a funny face at which she laughed.

- "Sorry, I was thinking" - she explained - "Too many thoughts go through my head."

- "What are you thinking about?"

- "About everything that awaits me. Things have gotten very complicated and I have too much on my mind. And I am just scared about what's going on. It worries me to some extent." - she said, and I was happy that she finally opens up to her feelings.

- "It's normal to worry. It means you care," - I replied. - "What are you so upset about? Is there one reason or maybe so generally?"

- "There are several reasons. I am definitely afraid of a confrontation with Mark, in addition, I do not know what I will say to April, because when she hears what I did, our friendship will be over. And I'm worried about Dad."

- "Slowly slowly. I'm a bit tired and I need to have explain for some things hah. And I haven't heard about the last two things. What's up with April? It seemed to me that there is great between you two." - I said with a lot of questions.

- "Because it's okay, but I broke down and she doesn't know I broke down." - She began

- "Can you lighter?"

- "April likes Jackon. Just don't tell anyone that I told you about it" - she continued - "And how to say it. The night I left, Avery went looking for me. And I fully aware that my best friend has feelings for him. I slept with him."

- "Yyyy, I wonder if I wanted to know about it ... But I don't think so." - I said slightly embarrassed by this information.

- "You wanted to know and don't judge me. You were the one who had a wife while sleeping with my sister!" - she said in her own defense.

- "But that was a different situation! Say what about it and that's it. We're not talking about me, we're talking about you!" - I replied sarcastically

- "It wasn't ordinary sex ..."

- "What? What do you mean? Do you like Avery?!" - I asked in disbelief

- "I did not say anything like that! But he's terribly handsome ahhh. But maybe it wasn't sex like Mark. Such a love one. But that also wasn't like the random guy sex. There was some chemistry. I don't know how to describe it."

- "I can't believe I'm talking to you about this, but maybe Jackson is your Mark, like for Callie. They slept together for a long, long time. Callie was even in a relationship for a while."

- "How do you know about such things? The fact that he was sleeping with her, I knew. But such details? Derek!" - she said with a sour face

- "Lexie! I guess I'll do something to you right now! You started this topic!"

- "Well. My problem is that April doesn't know anything. And I don't regret this sex. I was happy then" - said the girl sentimentally.

- "Talk to Avery,"- I advised my sister.

- "It's gonna be uncomfortable here, too, because I kind of told him it was awesome, and then I said I couldn't and left." - she said.

- "You and Sloan are worth each other! Really! You two by yourself make things worse!" - I said sarcastically.

- "I know!" - the girl nodded ironically. - "And starting the topic, I can see that you are a bit tired, do you want me to lead a bit?" - she added after some time of silence.

- "I am a bit worried about us and the car, but whoever does not risk does not drink champagne. I'm about to stop and we'll change over" - I agreed and gave her a smile.

- "I'm a very good driver! You'll see for yourself in a moment!"

Moments later we swapped places, and this time Lexie was in the driver's seat. She seemed to be pleased with that, because a smile suddenly appeared on her face.

- "Ahh, I wish I had my own car." - she said as she started the engine.

- "You never had a car? After all, you have a driving license." - I asked, surprised because I always thought Lexie got or bought a car.

- "I never had my own. I got my driving license a month after I was sixteen, but my parents didn't buy me a car. They said I didn't need it yet. And I believed in it, and so I lived. A few years later, Molly got the car. And then they told me that she had a fiancé. They're getting married soon, and they will probably have a baby on the way. That's why Molly needs a car. And that when I get married, they will buy me too." - she explained - "That is why every opportunity to drive a car is amazing for me and not forgotten."

- "This is how it usually happens in siblings. Not everything is fair" - I tried to add something to the situation.

- "I've always been the bad one. They were supposed to be so proud of me, and in general, but there was no such thing as pitying Lexie. I didn't translate my father's plan into my life the way Molly did." - she said and laughed under her breath irritably.

- "A plan for life?" - I asked

- "My dad dreamed that we would be the women who were sitting at home, taking care of the children and waiting for her husband to come back home. Molly did it because she's so average that's how I would call it and she just doesn't have a plan for herself. And I was appointed as that bad daughter because I went to Harvard and now I spend more time at work than at home."

- "I feel sorry for you,"- I confessed

- "The greatest irony of this whole situation is that I stayed to help my addicted to alcohol father. And Molly is far away, and she doesn't care. She's not answering his phone calls, nothing."

- "Your father still drinking?" - I asked

- "I don't know how now, but before my departure he got back to his habits. He's not picking up on me, so I'll have to go there myself and tuck into his pigsty." - She replied angry - "So I have a request that you give me a lift there, okay?"

- "Go with you?"

- "No better not,"- she replied. - "Better not take the risk and be called by his insults."

- "Call me when you finish and I'll pick you up" - I suggested.

- "No, I have to go to the hospital. Hunt is supposed to be on duty then, and I want to talk to him when the crowd isn't too crowded." - thanked - "And I'm just going to take a walk, it will do me good. And then I'll go home."

- "So be it. If you want it," - I said and gave her a smile.

For the rest of the way, nothing really interesting happened somehow. Lexie kept driving, and I slept for a while. And then we talked about different topics again, laughing to our tears at the same time. When we got to Seattle it was around 10pm, I took Lexie to Thacher's house and headed home by myself. To my wife and child.
