best friends and...soulmates

Jungkook takes out the old camcorder from his duffel bag and turns it on while Chaeyoung watches him.

"Look at this.", he gives the camcorder to Chaeyoung's hand so she can see by herself what he is trying to show her.

She holds the camcorder firmly in her hands before she focuses on the video that is playing from it.

"Hey, take your hands off of my ball!", the boy says to a girl in the video.

The girl is holding a ball that seems to belong to the boy as he is heard to be scolding her. The video got a little shaky when the person holding it came closer to them.

"Jungkook, don't be like that to your new friend.", an elder woman's voice said before the boy turned to face the camera. "Eomma, I don't share my ball with anyone. You know that.", he replied as he harshly took the ball from the girl's hands.

Because of his harsh act, the girl started to cry and went to the nearest bench to cry on her knees.

"Jungkook, look what you've done. She's new here, Jungkook-ah. I was the one that told her to try to be your friend because she wanted to play with you. If you're mad at someone, it should be me.", the woman holding the camcorder said to him as she put down the camcorder on the empty side of the bench.

Their conversation are heard in the video even though it was showing the girl crying on its display screen.

"She...she wanted to play with me?", Jungkook asked, his voice sounded like he is feeling guilty for what he did.

"Yes, Chaeyoung wants to play with you. She said she likes to play football with her friend back where she lived before this.", the woman Jungkook called as mother told him before she asked him to try to be friends with the girl that is still crying on the bench.

"H..hey...Chaeyoung. I'm...sorry.", Jungkook said when he approached Chaeyoung and sat next to her on the bench.

The video showed that it is recording the kids from the side view of the bench when Jungkook tapped on Chaeyoung's shoulder to talk to her. Chaeyoung  actually turned to see him with her eyes still tearing up because of what happened earlier. Only when Jungkook extended his hands to give the ball to her, she stopped crying as she touched the ball slowly.

"Do you want to play football with me?", he asked as he let her take the ball completely from his hands.

"Can I?", she asked back while looking at Jungkook with hopeful eyes.

"Follow me.", he said as he got down from the bench and stood in front of her with his right hand raised up to help her down from the bench.

Chaeyoung took his hand and he led her to the mini playground with him. Then, he put two small plastic cones on his sides and clapped his hand in the air. Chaeyoung looked at him quietly before he called her name asking her to stand a bit far to the back from him.

"Okay, Chaeyoung. If you can score a goal, I'll let you be my friend.", Jungkook said as Chaeyoung put the ball down to the ground.
