rebuild their bond

A tear escapes Chaeyoung's eyes when she is watching the rerun of the programme that Jungkook watched yesterday afternoon. She does not have the intention to watch that programme but nothing is interesting for her to watch while waiting for Jungkook's call that night. They do not meet each other that day because Jungkook has training with his teammates.

Therefore, Chaeyoung will wait for his call before they go to sleep. That is how it is for them whenever they cannot meet each other. It has become a routine for them to call before sleep and sometimes they fall asleep during their call.

"Chaeng...are you okay?", Jisoo comes to sit next to Chaeyoung after she just got back from work. "Why are you watching this channel? You know you easily get affected by this kind of programme.", she adds when she realized what Chaeyoung is watching on the TV.

"I'm not crying, unnie.", Chaeyoung says as she slowly wipes her cheek that is wet with her warm tears.

Jisoo turns her body to get a better view of Chaeyoung's face.

"You're a bad liar, Chaeng. I know you too well.", the elder says as she watched the TV to know what is Chaeyoung crying for.

"Isn't it lovely, unnie? A family that was broken brought together to rebuild their bond.", Chaeyoung says as she sees the female guest hugs her estranged aunt in tears.

The two guests remind her of herself and her aunt. She still has not met her aunt yet. She only dares to meet her cousins, Chanyeol and Sooyoung. She has met the siblings a week after she went home with Jungkook after their misunderstanding. Since then, her relationship with the siblings has gotten better but she still feels scared to meet her aunt.

"You really shouldn't watch this. Let's change the channel.", Jisoo takes the remote before Chaeyoung's phone rings.

"It's Jungkook. Bye, Jisoo unnie. Good night.", Chaeyoung sounds delighted when she sees the name on the screen.

Jisoo watched her with her mouth hanging opened not believing that Chaeyoung leaves her just like that. She nags at Chaeyoung for leaving her alone but Chaeyoung just smiles and mouthed a 'sorry' before closing the door of her room.

"Hi, Chaeyoung.", Jungkook throws himself on his bed and hugs the pillow Chaeyoung used with a big smile on his face. "Guess what I'm doing right now.", he asks her when she asked him that question earlier.

Because of that, Chaeyoung whines at him for repeating her question wanting her to guess.

"Just guess it. It's easy, Love.", he keeps on pushing her to guess so she does as he wanted.

"Looking up to the sky like me right now?", first guess as she thinks he might be doing something similar to her.

Jungkook says no and asks her to try again, " Doodling on your pillows?"

She laughs at her own words as she stares down to the pillow he wrote birthday wish for her. Jungkook laughs too before saying that she was close to the answer. He encourages her to give another try so she takes a longer time to think of the right answer.

As she is humming on the other end, Jungkook sniffs the pillow loudly to give a clue to her.

"Oh, I know! You...are hugging my pillow.", Chaeyoung finally gets the answer as she hears Jungkook joyfully cheers on the phone. "Stop being a creep, Kookie. It's not like you haven't seen me for a long time.", she makes him stop cheering as he pouts to her words.
