what I want to tell

Chaeyoung has just finished designing a new logo for her client when Jisoo comes out of her bedroom with a loud huff to the living room. She startles Chaeyoung who looks at her annoyed face. It makes Chaeyoung wondering why she has that kind of face expression as she sits next to Chaeyoung.

"Unnie, what's wrong?", Chaeyoung asks as she turns off her laptop.

"What's wrong? You, Chaeyoung is what's wrong. Why you haven't pick up Jungkook's calls?", Jisoo asks while pointing at Chaeyoung. She tries her best not to blow up with Chaeyoung. She knows the couple had a problem but she does not know that they have not yet settle it.

"Oh..I don't want to talk with him yet.", Chaeyoung easily replies.

Jisoo nods her head, "Okay, why? I want to know why. He's been bothering me, you know? I can't even talk with Jin peacefully. He kept calling and interrupted us."

Chaeyoung's eyes widen knowing that Jungkook asks Jisoo about her.

"I just want to see his effort. He just sent me a few texts today and only called me once. I knew he wasn't sorry when he texted me how sorry he was for not realizing what changed in me.", Chaeyoung tells the elder with a pout on her face.

"His effort? Seriously, Chaeng? You know he's busy there. Why do you act more like Rosé now?", Jisoo disagrees with what Chaeyoung is doing to Jungkook. "You know how much he loves you. If you don't want to talk to him, listen...to me talking with him.", she quickly takes Chaeyoung's phone and hides it under her hips before she calls Jungkook using her own phone.

"Yeah, noona. How? Where's Chaeyoung? What's she doing now?", Jungkook's voice sounds worried through the loudspeaker.

Jisoo tells Chaeyoung to keep herself quiet when she tries to get her phone from Jisoo.

"Jungkook-ah..I'm sorry. I couldn't talk to her. She's still mad with you.", Jisoo says while glaring at Chaeyoung who tries to keep quiet beside her.

"Oh...She's still mad, huh? But, she still replied all my texts today.", he replies with a saddened tone. "I get it. She doesn't want to talk with me, does she?", he asks.

Jisoo nods her head, "She's busy doing her work right now. Is there anything you want me to tell her, Kook?"

Silence from his side is quite long until both of the girls look at each other wondering what happened to him.

"Hmm...a lot actually since we didn't talked for a whole day.", Jungkook says as he remembers the last time they talked was when he sneaked out from training yesterday morning.

"Just say it all to me. I'll convey it to Chaeyoung later.", Jisoo replies before adding that she is ready with a pen and a paper. She almost laugh at her little lie but she remains focus on her plan.

Chaeyoung almost stands up wanting to leave quietly but Jisoo pulls her by the wrist. She mouthed to Chaeyoung to stay so she reluctantly does it.

"First of all, tell her I'm really sorry. I knew I already texted her but I think that's not enough. Please make sure she knows that first.", he paused for a while. "Then..umm...tell her I didn't mean to not call her this morning. I wanted to but I got caught using my phone during training yesterday so the coach took my phone from me.", he chuckles as he tells her about that. "And tell her not to curse him. It was my fault.", he adds as he recalls how Chaeyoung will curse someone easily when they talk through the phone. "Umm...are you really writing these down, noona?", he asks as he feels that it is too quiet on the other side.

Jisoo nods her head while trying to remain relaxed  to talk with him, "I am writing them. That's why it's quiet here. Hehe.."

"Oh, alright.", Jungkook replies shortly.

"Anything more you want to add, Jungkook?", Jisoo asks while looking into Chaeyoung's softened eyes.

Jungkook hums for a while as he is thinking. Moments later, he clears his throat before he speaks.

"Noona, umm...I don't know if you'll like to hear this but this is what I want to tell Chaeyoung.", he begins carefully.

Jisoo's eyes narrowed in response to Jungkook's words. She wonders what he wants to say next.

"Chaeyoung...", Jungkook says the name making both of the girls shocked. "I love you so much, my dear. I really am. And with your new hair colour, you look even more lovely to me. I'm sorry I didn't realized the change much earlier. Blame Jennie's shirt that she gave you. If you weren't wearing that shirt, I would have seen what you tried to show me. Please forgive me, my dear. And please pick up my call. I miss your voice, Love. A day without hearing your voice actually hurts me a lot. I hope we can talk tomorrow morning. I love you,  Park Chaeyoung.", he talks as if Chaeyoung is the one listening to him and not Jisoo.

After his long message for Chaeyoung, the silence comes again as Jisoo sees how Chaeyoung's face turned to be sadder as she heard the message earlier.

"Err...Jungkook?", Jisoo calls for his name.

"Yes, Jisoo noona.", he responses.

"This might sound weird to you but I want to hear your honest answer.", she tells him as she looks at Chaeyoung who still staying silent despite the guilty expression she has on her face. Jisoo wants Chaeyoung to speak so she need to ask him the question that will wake Chaeyoung's sense up. "How much do you love Chaeyoung?", Jisoo asks.

A simple question. A direct question. A common question. It seems that way but Jungkook knows there is no prefect answer for that question. But, he knows how he feels about loving Chaeyoung and he knows how he should answer it once he thinks of her.

"I love her so much that I couldn't even imagine my life without her. She's like the air I breath in. She's the oxygen that keeps me alive and well. That's how much I love her, noona.", he answers in his own words.

"Don't ever say something like that. I can't even imagine my life without you so don't...", his words reminds Chaeyoung of her own words a few weeks ago before he left for the Asian Cup.

It triggers her heart to be shocked at his answer.

"Jungkook!", she calls his name as she snatched Jisoo's phone from the elder's hand.

Then, she turns around so that Jisoo faces her back while she turns the loudspeaker off and puts the phone near her ear.
