Since the day Jungkook went to the theme park with her, he never accompanied her anymore and just came to leave the cats to her everyday. A week ago, he told her that he has a vacation with his teammates so he will not be around for a while. However, Chaeyoung feels lonely without him even though she has the cats with her all week long.

She still contacts with him through texting but she could feel that his reply becomes more boring day by day.

Jungkook: I'm good here, Chaeyoung. We just had barbecue by the river. It's cold here but it's great. - sent on the night of the first day he left for the vacation

Jungkook: I'm sorry I didn't realized your text. Was busy fishing with my mates here. - sent on the third day of his vacation

Jungkook: I'm about to sleep actually. Today was tiring. I'll text you later. - sent on the sixth day of his vacation

"He doesn't sound cheerful as usual.", Chaeyoung mutters as she scrolls to his previous texts. "Is he...alright?", she thinks since he does not tell her where he is having his vacation at. All she knows is he is somewhere near a river and that he had gone hiking with his teammates.

"If you ask me, I'll tell you he's not.", Rosé's voice greets her out of nowhere in her mind.

Chaeyoung frowns as she thinks why the Voice said that.

"Tell me how can he be alright after he got rejected? You were mean to him.", Rosé voiced out to Chaeyoung.

Being the Host, she demands Rosé to explain since she does not get what she is talking about.

Rosé laughs to her for being oblivious about his confession the other night. "He literally told you he likes you and you only hugged him? Did you know what you do, Chaeyoung?", she asks.

Chaeyoung tries to think what is wrong with her giving Jungkook a hug that night after he said he likes her. "I told him I like him too.", she says, still unaware of what she actually did to Jungkook that night.

"You said you like him because he's a friend! Only just a friend, Chaeyoung. Don't you get it?", Rosé raises her voice to Chaeyoung. "Stop acting so dense, Chaeyoung. Come on!", she tries to annoy Chaeyoung at this point.

"Don't say that to me, Rosé. I'm not that slow.", Chaeyoung replies in a stern voice. "I know what he's trying to say but you should know too why I can't say the same thing to him.", she adds to Rosé giving her a clue that she actually knows that he is expressing his feelings to her that night.

Rosé knows Chaeyoung purposely friendzoned Jungkook so she adds to the fuel by asking, "Why? What makes you rejected him?"

"I didn't reject...I mean...you know why. Don't ask me something you already know.", Chaeyoung avoids answering that question.

"You feel vulnerable because you have me and Rosie in your mind. You don't think you deserve love from someone like him. Then, you will just let him be your friend? Until when?", Rosé totally knows the reason Chaeyoung does not reciprocate to Jungkook. "If you keep him as a friend forever, I don't think that's going to work out. It's either you become his loved one or you two become strangers. That's the only choices you have, Chaeyoung.", she adds.

Chaeyoung closes her ears as if trying to not to listen to Rosé but she knows it is useless.

"There will come a time he gets tired of you if you stay friends with him. I can see the way he cares about you even when you're just a stranger to him. He never gives up to be your friend. I salute that, and knowing that he really wants to be your friend, I know he will not disappoint me. That's why I never want to take over your body when he's around. I know he can take care of you if I leave you.", Rosé keeps talking even though Chaeyoung shakes her head showing that she does not want to hear anything from her.

The last words Rosé said makes Chaeyoung froze.

"You will leave me?", she asks as she looks into the mirror in front of her.

"I'll leave you when you no longer need me.", Rosé says.

Chaeyoung does not believe what she just heard.

"I always need you. You are the one that is brave and tough enough among the three of us. How can you say you'll leave me, huh?", she gets emotional thinking of her brave alter ego talking about leaving her.

Rosé giggles to Chaeyoung's sad voice. "I'm just a braver version of you, Chaeyoung. The version of you that you haven't found in yourself yet. When the right time comes, I'll disappear too.", she tells Chaeyoung.

"When is that?", Chaeyoung bluntly asks.

She waits for a while to hear an answer from Rosé but she gets no reply.

"Seriously? You don't want to tell me, Rosé?", she tries to get the Voice's attention but nothing comes to speak to her. "Fine, then. Disappear if you want, Rosé.", she gives up on waiting as she tries to make herself fall asleep.

Just when she turns off the lights, her phone buzzes showing that she receives a new message. She lazily opens it and blinks a few times reading the text she just received.

Jungkook: Hey, Chae. Are you asleep? I want to ask you before tomorrow comes, do you want to go out with me? I'm already home and wanted to bring you somewhere special. Hope you'll tell me before I come to your house tomorrow. See you. 😊

"Somewhere special?", she asks herself thinking of where he plans to bring her to.

"Oh, the loverboy.", Rosé's voice comes back to startle Chaeyoung.

"Yah, why you come back?! You ignored me just now.", she gets mad with her alter.

A soft laugh is all Rosé gives before it gets silent again in Chaeyoung's mind.

"Jungkook's not my lover, by the way.", Chaeyoung says as she types to reply to his sudden text.

The notification sound makes Jungkook excited as he is waiting for a reply from a certain person. He opens his phone with a wide smile but it fades when he sees the name on the screen. Lee Jieun.

Jieun: Hi, Jungkook. I heard you guys have a surprise birthday party for Jimin tomorrow. Mind if I join y'all?

He sighs at the text Jieun gave him. "How did she know this?", he mutters while shaking his head. Not long after that, he receives another text. This time, his smile comes back to his face as he sees the name on the screen. Park Chaeyoung.

Chaeyoung: Hi, Jungkook. 🤗 I'm about to sleep now. Where do you plan to take me tomorrow? I can't just go anywhere with you.

He smiles at her reply. He knows she will ask him the destination. She never leaves her house without Jisoo and Seokjin knowing her whereabouts. But, Jungkook chooses to keep it a secret for now.
