he knew first

"You don't know how fucked up my mind is.", the words she said makes Jungkook a bit surprised even though he has expected it.

"You want to talk about it with me?", he asks her.

She laughs at his question before asking him back, "What are you? A psychologist? Or psychiatrist?"

Jungkook smiles at her guesses.

"I am...none of that. I'm a football player...who's close to Chaeyoung. I'd say I'm a best friend to her but maybe she never see me that way. She's been avoiding me for three days now.", he tells her as he is unsure if Rosé knows him or not.

Without looking at him, she says his full name and what his jersey number is. "I know who you are. Chaeyoung talks about you with me. Even when she's not, I know you because she always watch your matches.", she adds before Jungkook can interrupt her.

"Oh..you watched me play.", he mutters.

"Chaeyoung watched but...yeah, sometimes I remember what she did. So...I know you.", Rosé corrects him.

Jungkook nods before apologising for mistaking her with Chaeyoung. Seeing that she does not give a respond to his apology and keeps a poker face, he clears his throat before asking her a question. "What...did Chaeyoung talk about me to you?", he asks her hoping that she will spill something to him.

Chaeyoung chuckles at him before saying, "You think I don't know what you're trying to do? Forget it, Jungkook. I won't tell you."

He gets even more curious so he asks why she will not tell him about it when she is not Chaeyoung.

"I still respect Chaeyoung. She told me and Rosie to never tell anyone about ourselves including her. So, you ain't going to get anything from me, Mr Jeon.", she tells him the reason.

"But I want to help her and to do that, I need help from you.", he replies.

"Help her for what? To get rid of me?", Chaeyoung asks with a glare given to him.

He quickly shake his head. "I want to help her to be braver to face the world, I want to help you too...to be kinder with me...and everyone. I just want all three of you be happy despite the differences you guys have. You...and Chaeyoung.. should be as happy as Rosie.", he explains before making her explode at him.

For the third time, Jungkook hears her laugh that sounds like mocking him.

"Have I ever been not kind with you?", she says as she gets up from the swing she sits on.

"Once. When I gave you my umbrella but you refused to take it.", he says as he shows up a finger reminding her of the first time they met.

"I was mad with that man, not you. But, you kind of interrupting me so yeah...I was annoyed but not mad...at you.", she tries to defend herself for how she acted with him that night.

This time, Jungkook chuckles at her stuttered self. But, not for long since he catches her sharp stare on him. He immediately apologizes to her.

"I better leave before I get mad at you.", she says as she starts to walk back to her house.

"I'll follow you. My house is the same way so...", Jungkook tells her as she stops for a while looking at him with a frown. "I'll leave after you reach your house.", he adds before Chaeyoung rolls her eyes at him. She tells him that he can follow her but she does not want to talk with him anymore.

Because of that, their walk becomes quiet on that chilly night. Only their footsteps on the pathway accompany them to their destination.

"Chaeyoung!", someone's shout disturbs them as a car approach beside them.
