"You're back early."

Roman walked into his and Virgil's shared apartment. Closing the door he turns around to see Virgil walking out of their room. Virgil looked at him with a look that said he was doing something he shouldn't be doing.

"Oh heeey," Virgil said, drawing out the ey.

"Hi Stormcloud?" Roman said, coming out more like a question, with his eyebrow raised. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing," Virgil said, his voice going up and octave. He scratched the back of his neck. "You're back early."

"Uh yeah the director let us go early." Roman said. He wasn't sure what Virgil was hiding, but his mind went to the worst. 'Could Virgil be cheating?' he wondered.

"Oh that's cool."

"..Sooo... what are you hiding in our room?" Roman said with a slight frown.

"Um... well... There may be 5 kittens in there..." Virgil said, messing with the hem of his shirt.

"What?"

"Well... Patton adopted 5 kittens without telling Logan."

"Okay?"

"Well he asked if they could be here until he tells Logan. He said that he would pick them up at 2. You weren't supposed to be back tell closer to 2:30 so yeah." Virgil said rubbing the back of his neck looking at the ground.

"So there's really 5 kittens in our bedroom?" Roman questioned.

"Uh yeah." Virgil said, opening their bedroom door. A little black and orange kitten walked out, and rubbed against Roman's leg. Roman started laughing, confusing him, "what?"

"I thought something worse was going on." Roman says. Virgil cutlie tilted his head to the side in curiosity. "Don't worry about it." he put his hand on Virgil's shoulder comfortingly.

The two of them spent the rest of the time there playing with the kittens until Patton showed up to pick them up. Logan said that he and Patton couldn't take care of 5, and could only keep one or two. Patton and Logan kept two, a white kitten and a grey kitten. Virgil and Roman ended up keeping the black and orange kitten. They gave one to Remus and Janus, a black kitten, and gave the other to Remy and Emile, a brown and white kitten.
