"We are going to have a pop quiz today. Surprise," the teacher said.
Virgil's hands started shaking a little. He hates pop quizzes, they always made him anxious. Roman, who sat right next to him, noticed, grabbed his hand, and rubbed his thumb across Virgil's knuckles.
"You have an A in this class. I'm positive you'll do great," Roman whispered, calmingly.
Virgil took a deep breath and nodded a little, "Thanks Ro," he whispered back. They smiled slightly at each other.
"I'm now passing out the tests, so no talking," the teacher said.
While taking the test, Roman held Virgil's hand the whole time. This was a pretty normal thing for when Virgil was panicked and/or was uncomfortable.
