Early In The Morning

(Prompt-

"I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize. You didn't do anything wrong.")

It had been around 3 am, and Virgil had been laying in bed next to Roman, who was asleep, but he couldn't seem to fall back to sleep. Then he had a craving for something sweet or somethings sweet.

He carefully moved out of Roman's arms, tiptoed to the door carefully opening it, and quietly snuck downstairs, avoiding the squeaky spots. He got to the bottom of the steps and went into the kitchen. He started to grab the different things he needed for baking.

-time skip-

It was really late or early however you wanted to look at it. Roman woke up, surprised that Virgil wasn't asleep next to him. He got up and checked Virgil's room, he wasn't there. As he made his way back to his room, he heard a noise coming from downstairs, so he headed down there. He looked over into the kitchen to see Virgil.

"Virgil? It's 4 in the morning, why are you making a cake? And what's with the sweets and the party hat?" Roman tiredly asked.

Virgil, who was sitting on the counter, looked up at Ro, from the cake he was icing. "I'm celebrating the death of my sleep schedule and sanity. Want a cookie?" He asked, reaching out a plate of cookies to Roman.

"Stormcloud, if you can't sleep, you can wake me up, and I can help you sleep."

"Um- well... you looked peaceful, and I didn't want to wake you..." Virgil muttered, looking down a little. "I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize. You didn't do anything wrong," Roman said, comfortingly putting his hand on Virgil's arm with a soft smile. Virgil looked back up at him and smiled back in response.

"Wanna help me with this cake?" Virgil asked.

"Yes, but after we finish you need to get some sleep."

"Ugh, Fine."
