Roman was sitting on the couch when his phone started ringing. He reached for it, and it was just out of reach. He looked down at his lap, where his tiny little kitten, Virgil, was curled up, sleeping. He couldn't disturb the little kitten. He reached for his phone, again reaching as far as he could, just reaching it. By now it had stopped ringing, so he looked at his phone to see who had called, it was his friend Patton. He logged in and called Patton back.
Ring.
Ring.
"Hey, Roman!" Patton said from the other side of the phone.
"Hey, Patton," Roman said. "Sorry, I didn't answer. Virgil's asleep on my lap and my phone was just out of reach."
"It's alright. I completely understand. When an animal falls asleep on you there is an unwritten rule that you can not disturb said animal," Patton said, semi-seriously.
"Yeah," Roman chuckled.

Roman was now lying on his bed to sleep. He felt a little weight change on his bed and looked over. He saw his tiny black-furred kitten walking over with a tilted head.
"Hey, Virge," Roman said quietly, petting the kitten's head.
"Me-r-ow," Virgil purred, leaning into Roman's touch, curling into him, lying down.
"Night, my Kitten," Roman yawned. Virgil purred loudly, cuddling into Roman.
