Chapter 15

Dan's POV:

The doctor walked in and I jumped out of my seat. The doctor asked me to wait outside. All I know is that Phil is ok. The nurse walks out and says that they are running tests. Peter and I are waiting ouside the room. 5 minutes later, my dad walks up to us.

"What is going on?" Dad asks.

"Phil is waking up dad." I say panicky. I start pacing up and down the halls. The doctor walks out.

"You can see Philip now. Hes a little foggy but hes ok" The doctor says.

We walk in and Phil is staring at us. His eyes are barely open but hes awake.

"Hey Phil." Peter says.

"Is that you Peter?" Phil says slurring his words. It sounds more like "Ish tat you Peetur"

"Whi ish tere dese thibgz in mu armies" Phil says as he is pulling out his IVs and oxygon.

No-no sunshine, dont pull out your oxygon. I say.

"Put, I hat oxegyun." Phil complains. "But you have to breathe babe." I say. Wtf, did I just call him babe.

*COUGH "BABE" *COUGH" Peter laughs.

"Wat ish a babe?" Phil asks.

"It means you have a boyfriend" Peter says.

"I wan twu sliep" Phil says.

"You want to sleep Phil?" Peter says giggling.

"Nop, cause you ish a scury monstah peetur." Phil says concerned.

My father sighs.

"Mistah. Howuell, my armies hurt. I wan ta go to sliep." Phil says with tears in his eyes.

"I know Phil. I will call a doctor and get you some pain medication. You can sleep too" My father saye sweetly.

"Otay Mistah. Howuell." Phil says sleepily.

"Danyul pwuease dont weave mu." Phil says dozing off.

"Im here babe" I say. I make myself laugh.

"I want a kis goodnight Danyul. Plweause fur mu?" Phil says falling asleep. I lean down and kiss him. Before I know it, he is asleep.

The doctor walks in and gives him his pain medication. Peter and I walk out.

"Hey danyul, I recorded the whole thing, You even called Phil babe." Peter says while laughing.

"YOU DID NOT" I say cracking up. My dad walks over.

"Its not funny to joke about Phil's condition. He cannot help it." My dad says sternly.

"Way to ruin the joke dad." I sassed back.

"You are in a hospital, act like it." My dad scolded me. He gave me a stern look. I stopped.

"But its a great way to cheer up Phil later." Peter tells my dad.

"That goes for you too." My dad says to Peter.

"Im just happy he is ok dad. I just cant stand that he is in pain." I say.

"Phil is a fighter Daniel. He will be ok. He can get through the pain." My dad says. My father walks over and talks to the doctor.

"I will still show Phil" Peter whispers to me. I laugh. Out of the corner of my eye I see Hunter.

"How is Phil? I heard about his suicide attempt and I got concerned." Hunter said.

"He is asleep. Why do you even care?" I say. I feel my face getting hot.

"I care. I want to apologize to you Dan. I didnt mean anything I said. Zoe was saying all these things about you. You are cool and she is fucking mad. Can we start over?" Hunter says. Hunter seems so sincere.

"You realise that you reopened my cuts." I say coldly.

"Zoe made me. Please accept my apology" Hunter says sadly.

"Another thing, I dont want you to do what Phil did. I feel so horrible about this. Even if I did make you suicidal, I dont want you to be" Hunter says. I just nod. We stay quiet for a few moments. 

"Ok I accept. But if you bully me, I swear, I will hate you again." I say.

"Um, Dan? Can you please give Phil this get well card? I will try to visit when he is awake." Hunter says.

"Ok. Give me the card." I say. Hunter hands me the card.

"I will visit Phil as soon as he wakes up." Hunter says.

"Ok thats fine." I say. Hunter walks away. I walk into his room and I stand the card up next to the flowers my mum bought Phil. I pull up the bedspread I got from Phils bed, so he can be warm. I readjust Phil's IV and oxygen so the bedspread wont pull them out. I place his lion stuffed animal next to him. I then lean down and kiss him softly on the lips. I then lay down next to him and fall asleep.
