Chapter 48

*Dan's POV*

Today was the big day, I was excited but also really nervous. My mom wanted to help me get ready but I wanted to surprise her and dad, so instead Peter was with me and Nina and Vanessa were with Phil while Crystal was making sure everything was perfect. She was a great wedding planner she's the reason we were able to finish everything on time. I was walking back and forth in the dressing room, nervous as hell "Dude you need to calm down, you're making me really dizzy" Peter said as he watched me walk around "Sorry, a little nervous only the biggest day of my life is today" I said sarcastically "Why are you nervous?" He asked me "I'm sure everyone is nervous on their wedding day Peter" I rolled my eyes. "I thought you wanted to marry Phil?" He asked me "Of course I want to marry him, that's a dumb question" I replied "Then why are you so nervous? You're not having second thoughts are you?" He asked "Im not having second thoughts, but w-what if Phil does?" I asked softly. "You sound so dumb right now, he's not going to have second thoughts, why would he?" There are so many reasons why he would "W-what if he's not happy with me?" I asked "If he wasn't happy with you then you wouldn't be getting ready for your wedding Dan" Peter said rolling his eyes "But what if we have a unhappy marriage? What if I can't make him happy anymore? What if I fail to take care of him?" then SLAP. Peter slapped me across my face "I'm sorry Dan, but you really needed that. Now sit down and listen" he sighed, I did as he said "I know how you feel, before Natalie was born I was really nervous that I'd be a failure to her and Nina" he explained "I still feel scared that I might fail them but Nina believes in me, and I love her and Natalie. You know how I was before, never serious and I was a player. But Nina made me a better person" I rubbed my cheek "You're right, I'm just over thinking about the bad, and I deserved that slap" I laughed silently. "Good now get up and get ready, I don't want to be stuck here with you all day" he joked. I got my suit out "Can I make a suggestion?" Peter asked and I nodded "Roll your sleeves up, I know you still have your scars but it will make Phil feel comfortable with his" he said "That's a good idea actually" I said. I wonder how Phil is doing right now, he's probably more calm than I was just moments ago.

*Phil's POV*

"Take it easy Phil" Nina said "I don't want my scar to show Nina" I said doing up my buttons "Here hold Natalie" she said handing me the baby and then she fixed my buttons "It looks better undone Phil, I know it will drive Dan crazy when he sees you" she winked. She helped me set my hair the way Dan likes it, I know she made me hold Natalie so I didn't try to fix my hair or shirt. "Great now all you need is your glasses and Dan's jaw will drop" she smiled taking the baby from me "I-I don't like the way my shirt is Nina, I don't want people staring" I said buttoning up my shirt again "Phil, you should do what Dan likes!!" Vanessa added "You looked handsome that way" I looked down at her "I-Im sorry Princess, but I don't like it" I sighed and she pouted. I felt my heart race and started to panic, what if something goes wrong? "Nina get me Dan" I said quickly "Phil he's getting ready" she explained "I-I need Dan, please just get him" I said again my eyes filled with tears "Phil? Are you okay? You need to calm down" she said worried "Please get me Dan!" I cried. Nina nodded and texted Peter instantly, Dan came in less than three minutes "What's wrong babe?" He asked and I hugged him tightly "Come on Vanessa, let's go get you ready" Nina said taking Vanessa with her to give us a moment. I was crying "Sssh babe. What is it?" He asked softly "Dan you're not going to change your mind are you?" I asked "That's silly, I'd never" he assured me "P-promise?" I whispered "Yes babe I promise" he kissed me forehead. "Dan I feel ill" I said moving back and running to the bathroom, he ran after me "Phil what's wrong?" He asked looking concerned "Go away Dan" I said before throwing up in the toilet, he held me up and rubbed my back "Do you feel better?" He asked, I shook my head and threw up again "now I feel better" I sighed. He wiped my mouth "We can move the date if you're not well babe" he said softly "No no, I can't wait anymore I just want it to be today" I said quickly. Dan got my toothbrush and helped me clean up "How are you so calm?" I asked him "I was a wreck, but I need to stay calm for you. And also you can thank Peter" he laughed awkwardly "What did Peter do?" I asked curious "Well I was freaking out and he slapped me" he laughed. I grabbed Dan's arm and went to his dressing room,Peter was there with Nina and Natalie. "I need you to slap me" I said to Peter "What the hell ?" He was confused "Don't ask, just slap me now!" And he did "Ouch!!" I jumped "You asked for it!" He laughed "You're a dick, but thanks" I laughed silently. "Dan can we get ready together? That will keep me calm too" I asked "Sure,let's get ready and then let's get married" he smiled.
