Chapter 8

*Phil's POV*

I woke up in Dan's bed with his arm around me, we both were shirtless but had our shorts on. I smiled as the memory of the other night came back, it was the best I ever felt, I love Dan so much. I watched him sleep and remember how he suggested that I should visit my dad, maybe it would be a good idea, but I don't know if I'm ready to yet.

"Morning" Dan said in his morning voice, he smiled me. "Good morning, how did you sleep?" I asked smiling "Great, amazing, it was the best I've ever slept" he smiled his cheeks were pink. "You should keep your hair like that more often" his hair was now a little curly, he laughed and brushed his hair with his fingers and I noticed his scars again, there weren't any new ones which made me kindah happy, I held his arm and and kissed his scars and then kissed him he kissed me back.

"We should get up, my parents will be home in an hour" he said pulling away and looking at the time "Phil.. I want to tell my parents the truth about us, we have to soon I don't want to keep it a secret for so long" he said quietly. "Tell you what, if you tell your parents then I will consider visiting my dad" I suggested to him, I know I'd have to sooner or later. Dan gave me a small smile "Deal. But you'll be here when I tell them right?" I nodded smiling at him.

We both got up, changed and I helped Dan clean up the house I didn't want to give his parents the wrong impression. As we finished we heard the front door open "Dan? We're home" I heard his mom call out. She and his father came into the TV room, his mom had nice long brown hair she was very pretty and his dad had the same colored hair, he looked a lot like Dan. His mom gave him a hug and he gave her an awkward hug back "i'm guessing this is your friend Phil" she smiled at me and nodded, his dad shook my hand "Well it's great to meet you Phil" "You too Mr. Howell"

"Mom, Dad, I know you just got home, but I really need to tell you something" Dan said, his parents looked really worried "What is it honey? You can tell us anything" his mom said sweetly.

*Dan's POV*

This is it, I'm going to come clean, what if they start hating me and we get more far apart, oh well no going back now.

"Well, I'm just going to say it, I-Im gay, Phil isn't my friend he's my boyfriend, we started dating not too long ago. I know it's something you're not used to or probably agree with and I'm sorry I kept it but-" I was interrupted my mom who pulled him me a hug "You don't have to say anything else, I understand and I'm happy for you" "R-really?" I said my voice started breaking. "We love you Dan, we want you to be happy, ever since you met Phil you got happier you stopped getting into fights, what kind of parents would be if we didn't accept your happiness" my dad said hugging me, this time I properly hugged my parents and felt so much relief. They both looked at Phil who was smiling I smiled at him too "Phil why don't you stay for dinner?" Mum offered "That would be great" he smiled.

My parents seemed to really like Phil, I never saw them so happy. "So Phil, I'm guessing your parents are okay with you and Dan?" My dad asked, Phil suddenly got quiet his smile faded and he looked down "A-actually I wouldn't know.." My parents looked confused I squeezed his hand "Phil's mum passed away about 6 years ago " I explained to my parents, my mom instantly pulled him into a hug "I'm sorry Phil" he hugged my mom back which made me smile "Phil why do you have bruises on your arms?" My dad asked concerned "oh..uh I fell from my stairs, I'm really clumsy ask Dan" he laughed awkwardly I was quick to agree with him, my parents didn't seem to believe it but just went with it.

*Phil's POV*

"I had a great time with your parents" I smiled at Dan, we were at my place now to get a change of clothes for me, Dan was coming with me to visit my dad, I called the station and they said I can come in about half hour for 15 mins. "Are you nervous?" He asked me "A little bit" I said quietly, he put his arms around my neck and kissed me passionately assuring me with the kiss that everything will be okay. I smiled at him and we were about to leave the house "Where the fuck do you think you're going" shit. Ben. "Dans parents asked me to come over" I lied instantly, he gave me a disgusted look before leaving.

It took us about 20 minutes to get to the station, a police officer took me and Dan to a room where they brought my dad, I never forgot how he looked, he looked a lot like me and had the same eyes as me "D-dad?" I said with tears in my eyes. "Phillip, its been so long son" my dad was already crying "I missed you" I didn't know what to say, what do you say to a man who is your father and also a killer. He looked at Dan "Is this your friend?" He asked. "Dan is my boyfriend" I said plainly, my dad didn't seem bothered with it at all "I didn't expect this, my parents were never a fan about these things but I want you to be happy. Do you love Phil?" He asked Dan "Yes I do" he answered and my dad smiled. "Why do you care?" I suddenly said without thinking "Why do you pretend to care! You didn't care about anything when you killed mom and even after you were pretending to care about me!" My dad looked so broken, I sort of felt sorry but I shouldn't care. "Son you don't know what happened, you must listen to me" he pleaded "Why should I?" I said harshly "Because I didn't kill your mom, she shot herself, it was suicide I tried taking the gun away but she fought me and shot herself thats   why my finger prints were on it I'm innocent I swear" I just stood there didn't know what to do, I didn't know what to believe, I just ran out.

*Dan's POV*

I stared at Phil who looked shocked, I don't blame him its a lot to let sink in, then he ran out of the room I was able to go after him before his dad stopped me. "Dan I promise I'm not lying, you must talk to Phillip, I wouldn't make this up, I love my son too much" he was crying I nodded before leaving and the officer then took his dad away.

I looked for Phil and found him crying on a park bench near a station, I sat next to him and wrapped my arms around him as he cried, my poor Phil this is all so much for him.
