Chapter Forty Eight - A New World

It has been several days since the attack on Jaku City, Villain attacks are at an all time high. With the growing rise in Villains, the people continue losing faith in Heroes. But despite this, the Heroes continue doing their part to fend off the Villain threat. At UA, Class 1-A discussed Midoriya.

Ochaco: Do you.....really think so?

Todoroki: Just guessing.

Bakugo: I'm gonna kill that damned nerd! But it is likely. He's obviously hanging out with Endeavor and the others.

Iida: You're guessing? Didn't anyone contact them to get confirmation? Those three were your mentors.

Eyes soon fell on Bakugo, Todoroki, Tokoyami and Jiro.

Tokoyami: I called multiple times. At no point did Hawks ever answer his phone.

Jiro: I haven't been able to get a hold of him either.

Bakugo: So did Demin Head.

Todoroki: Same with my father. They're busy, sure, but this is still odd. It's not a leap to assume they're hiding something from us.

Jiro: If what Midoriya said in his letters are true, then we can only assume Endeavor, Hawks and Best Jeanist know about One For All. Not to mention, All Might hasn't come back to campus, either.

Kirishima: What about the Bad Batch?

Jiro: As soon as I got the letter, I told Hunter about it. There's.....

Jiro paused as she thought about the discussion she had with the rest of the Bad Batch. She couldn't even begin how to describe what was discussed, especially with the involvement of Crosshair.

Jiro: With all that's been going on....Midoriya might be a target for Crosshair.

Upon hearing this, there was a tense silence in the room. Some of 1-A are still reeling from Crosshair's coldblooded killing of Midnight.

Ochaco: You're telling me our friend is out there with that....that maniac hunting him down?!

Jiro: Hunter and the others are doing everything they can to find Midoriya before Crosshair does. But between everything that's gone down plus the backlash over Crosshair's betrayal, it won't be easy.

Bakugo: Classes are suspended. So we can't even get promoted to the next grade right now. Hero course students were told to help secure the area, or be on standby. Which means we don't have time to hunt for any real intel. Denim Face and Feather Head both visited Deku in the hospital. All Might was there, too. Then there's the letters. If he didn't want to get anywhere close to campus......then who the hell put these on our doors in the middle of the night? He had All Might doing his dirty work. Those idiots have gotta be making moves together.

Jiro: Midoriya and All Might were inseparable. And with both of them being well versed in the nature for One For All, it makes sense that they would be working together in this.

At this point, Aoyama chips in.

Aoyama: If he's with the adult Heroes, then we can assume they are protecting him, oui?

Kaminari: The news only said that the top three Heroes had teamed up. Nobody else was mentioned in the report. Not Midoriya or All Might.

Jiro: They could've easily have kept them out of the report for their own safety. And if Midoriya is taking the fight to Shigaraki and the League.....

Bakugo: Damn it we know he is! Don't pussyfoot around this, Earphones! We all know Midoriya is taking the fight to these bastards! He thinks he's protecting us by fighting them all by himself, but that damned nerd is going to get himself killed!

Jiro: Don't you think I know that, Bakugo? You know him more than anyone. You grew up with him.

Bakugo: Yeah. I did! But back then, Deku was just a damned nerd without a Quirk who couldn't defend himself! But now.....

Jiro: Now things have changed. But Midoriya is still Midoriya. He's always believed that he had to shelter all the burdens that come with being a Hero. That he has to sacrifice his own happiness for our sake.

Yaoyorozu: But....why does he feel the need to do this? We're his friends! He doesn't have to fight it alone!

Jiro: Because he's been fighting this fight longer than we ever realized. Everything that has happened since we enrolled in UA and started our Hero Journey has been a battle in a war that we never even know was happening. All Might and All For One were front and center for the longest time. Now the board has shifted and the players have changed. Midoriya and Shigaraki are now going head to head. Midoriya felt that it was unfair for us to be dragged down into this war when he could've fought it by himself no matter the consequences.

As Jiro said that, there was silence in the room. After a moment, Bakugo clenched his fists.

Bakugo: Listen, moron. I may not know Endeavor very well. But I know Deku. And I've got a good read on All Might, too. I promise, this is the worst case scenario.

Jiro: No one is denying that, Bakugo. We all know Midoriya is walking down a path that he may not walk away from. As far as Midoriya is concerned, he's fighting a one man war against All For One himself. That and the fact that he holds One For All makes him a target.

Kirishima: Then we need to figure out how to contact Midoriya and help him out. Let's go!

At this point, Class 1-A were unsure where to start. Locating Midoriya was going to be like locating a needle in a haystack. Even with both the assistance of the Bad Batch and Hunter's Quirk, tracking Midoriya would be difficult. As Class 1-A struggled to come up with a plan, Ochaco stood up. All eyes soon fell on her.

Ochaco: Endeavor graduated from UA, right?

Jiro: That's right. Endeavor graduated from UA a long time ago. Why?

Ochaco: Then we'll force the issue.

And with that, Class 1-A had found a potential lead to finding Midoriya. And that would be through Endeavor.
