Baekhyun felt his heart was going to explode from beating so fast. His legs hurt from running, he wasn't used to this. The adrenaline was the only thing that kept him awake.

'Byun Baekhyun, we'll get you!'

He turned around to see a man shouting at him and pointing a gun at him. He stopped, faced the man and closed his eyes, giving up.

He was ready to die.

He waited for the man to pull the trigger, thinking it was over for him. He was ready to feel the bullet pierce through his skin, but instead he found himself being tackled by someone with so much force he was surprised his ribs weren't crashed.

A much taller guy had received the bullet for him.

He was about to ask him if he was fine, but the unknown guy got up, without a single scratch, and faced the one who was threatening his life. In a blink of an eye the one who had tried to kill him was the dead one. His corpse fell on the floor as his saviour triumphantly turned around to smile at him.

'Are you fine?'

'Y-yeah...'

The guy helped him get up. His legs were weak and he almost collapsed again, so he picked Baekhyun up and the shorter wrapped his arms around his neck and his legs around his waist.

Baekhyun's heart was beating like crazy.

He didn't know if it was because a hot guy just saved him or because that same hot guy could be even worse than his ex and kill him right there.

'T-thankyou, uhm...'

'Chanyeol.'

'Thankyou, Chanyeol.'

'You're welcome. What's your name?'

'B-baekhyun.'

'Cute. How did a pretty guy like you get in that ugly situation?'

Baekhyun explained that he had gotten involved with a mafia leader's son and when they broke up, more like Baekhyun broke up with him, his ex sent a man to go after him and kill him. He told him if he'd known things would end like this he wouldn't have flirted with that dangerous guy when he saw him in the bar.

Chanyeol confessed he was a vampire, which at first scared Baekhyun, and that was the reason why he barely felt the bullet that was shot at him.

As cliché as it might sound, Chanyeol and Baekhyun started dating a short while after, Chanyeol introduced him to his brother and parents and they were more than happy to have Baekhyun in the Park family. They reached a point where Baekhyun would practically live with them.

Saying their relationship was stable would be an understatement. They were so in love their worst arguments happened when Chanyeol's clumsiness broke something or someone eyed up Baekhyun too much.

'So you're saying Park Chanyeol saved you from the mafia and you two became a perfect couple until Chanyeol died?'

'Yeah.' Baekhyun sighed dreamily. Yangyang rolled his eyes mentally at him. Oh, how he wished he could have such a beautiful love story...

Everyone started avoiding Chenle after that incident. Chenle was confused as to why people would distance themselves from them. He didn't know why Jongho had accused him of such thing, was he actually cursed?

Even his school friends drifted away from him. The only ones who stood by his side were Felix and... Jisung.

'Le... I know you're not cursed. Don't worry about it. They don't know what an amazing person you are!' Felix tried to cheer him up. In his school he was his only true friend.

It was practically ridiculous how even teachers started avoiding him. They wouldn't ask him to answer in class, which was partly a relief, but they wouldn't pay attention to him if he raised his hand either.

Chenle thought things couldn't get worse, but much to his disgrace they did.

Felix didn't show up one day. Nor next. He disappeared from that school and everyone blamed it on Chenle.

'It's the curse! Jongho was right.'

'Felix disappeared for being too close to him...'

'We warned him, but he wouldn't listen to us. Look at what happened to him now!'

'Please, Soobin, don't talk to him! He's dangerous! I don't want you to disappear...'

Nonetheless, Soobin didn't listen. He approached Chenle and asked him what had happened to Felix.

'H-he had to go back to Australia...' It was true, Felix had sent him a message the day he didn't show up, explaining he and his brother had to go back to Australia because their mother was sick. However, no one believed him.

'Soobin, he's lying. Can't you see it? Felix is dead, just like Jongho will be soon... Please, let's go. I don't want you to die too...' Soobin and his friend left the classroom. Chenle was now alone in the empty classroom.

He felt like crying. Why didn't people believe him? What had he done wrong to deserve this? He used to be a really nice guy, he was in good terms with everyone and teachers couldn't resist his charms. Why did everything change all of a sudden?

Chenle picked up his things and left the school building, walking with slow steps towards the Park, where he knew his now only friend would be waiting for him.

Jisung hugged him and patted his back softly.

'It's going to be alright, Le. I'm here for you.'

'Dejun, are you coming or not?' Sicheng tried to get Dejun's attention by calling him from his lab's door. Dejun was in the corridor, looking through the half-opened door of Kunhang's lab. He saw the Renjun helping Kunhang with some stuff while having a friendly conversation. Dejun's eyebrows furrowed as he observed them.

Kunhang seemed to trust the younger so much... maybe too much. Dejun felt something odd. He didn't like Renjun one bit, and as time passed by his dislike towards the younger only grew. There was something in his gut telling him not to trust him.

'Dejun, stop spying on others.' Dejun felt a tug on his sleeve and turned around to face Sicheng. The taller dragged him towards his lab to show him some things.

Dejun silently followed. Once they were in Sicheng's lab the older started talking as he searched through the drawers and shelves.

'So, it took a bit of time, but I improved that cellular regeneration elixir and transformed it into an injectable serum...' Dejun internally cooed at Sicheng desperately searching around the place. '...I can't find it...'

'You lost the serum you made in your own lab?' Dejun laughed at Sicheng's embarrassed blush. 'Did Kunhang's spirit possess you or..?'

'No! I can't find it right now, but I swear I made it and it was here! It has to be somewhere, bottles don't have legs to walk by themselves...' Sicheng groaned in frustration and Dejun took advantage of a moment when the taller crouched down to search in a drawer and ruffled his hair.
