'Jisung, where are you going?'

Jisung left the house immediately, completely ignoring Taeyong's question as he went out.

He wanted to let all his frustration out, but doing it inside the house would get too loud and the rest of vampires would scold him if he broke something. He headed towards that secret place, which actually wasn't that secret as it was just the remainings of a building that had been destroyed decades ago.

It was essentially just a bunch of walls that were still standing and the materials of the destroyed ones scattered all over the place. The vampire usually went there to spend some time alone, as no one else dared go there at night. It was so old and creepy hundreds of urban legends kept people away from it.

Jisung raised his fist and made it collide against one of the walls that was still standing. His strength was enough to knock it down, making a loud noise that would have awakened the neighbors if it wasn't because he was in the outskirts and there wasn't any inhabited building near.

He let himself cry as he repeatedly hit the walls and columns he found here and there, not caring if he made too much noise. His fists were bruised after a few minutes, but he couldn't care less. He dropped himself on the floor and sobbed, not even bothering to cover his tear stained face.

'Jisung...' He heard a familiar voice calling him. He didn't even look at the one who was talking to him. 'Jisung, it's me, Jaemin.' Jisung ignored the older again.

Jaemin crouched down next to Jisung and caressed his face softly, wiping some of his tears. The younger finally looked at him and Jaemin didn't take long to let Jisung into his embrace.

'What happened, Sungie? What's wrong?'

'H-he rejected me...'

Jaemin kept silence as Jisung sniffled.

'But, Jisung, you knew that would happen.'

'I know... I just... I never thought it would hurt that much when he said it to my face... He called me a monster, Jaemin. I feel...' The younger started sobbing uncontrollably as Jaemin held him and caressed his back softly.

'You're not a monster, Jisung. Don't listen to him. He knows nothing.'

'I-I want to hate him, b-but I can't... I s-still have feelings for him... Why does it hurt so much, hyung?'

'We will contact the humans tomorrow, yeah? And then we'll give Chenle back to them. You need to distance yourself from him, the feelings you have for him aren't good.'

Jisung tried to protest.

'B-but...'

'Jisung, it's not good for you to stay with him. You have to let go. You'll find someone amazing soon and they will love you back.'

Jisung kept sobbing against Jaemin's chest, finding comfort in the older's embrace. The older cooed at the sight, even though Jisung was taller he was curled up in a ball and crying like a baby, staining his shirt.

'Yangyang, why haven't you got up yet?' Chittaphon softly said as he got into the younger's room.

'You're here already?'

'I slept here tonight. I'm thinking of moving here. We've all talked about it and it's safer if we all live in this building. It's big enough for all of us anyways.'

Yangyang hummed and Chittaphon got closer to him, sitting on the edge of the bed, next to the younger.

'What's wrong?' Yangyang looked absolutely drained. There were dark eyebags under his eyes and his face displayed how exhausted he was. It was clear to Chittaphon the younger hadn't slept for the whole night.

Should he open up? Yangyang was asking himself whether he should tell Chittaphon about his concerns.

'I... I just... I miss Chenle, and Yukhei... He's been quite weird lately...'

Chittaphon stayed silent and took a deep breath before speaking.

'Chenle... I think it's better to forget about him.'

'W-what do you mean?!'

'Yangyang, don't yell. I haven't told this to Kun yet, he probably thinks the same though. Chenle has been with the vampires for way too long. We don't even know if he's alive, he might even be a vampire like them for now.'

'But we know where he is! Why don't we go get him?! I can-'

'If we go there and he's still alive they might kill him!' Chittaphon didn't want to raise his voice, but he had to in order to make the younger listen to him. 'Trust me, Kun and I have thought of all the ways we could possibly get Chenle back, but we can't seem to find any. The house we think he's in belongs to a wealthy person who could get us on trouble now that we don't have the judicial support.'

'What happened with the judicial support?'

'Several people have refused to help us, we don't know exactly why but we suspect there's someone behind pushing them to do so.'

'But we can't just forget about Chenle! He's been with us for so many years. He's like a son to Kun!'

'Yangyang, I know. Trust me. I know. But sometimes, we have to let go of people even if they mean a lot to us. From the start we knew siding against vampires was dangerous, we should-'

'Guys!' Yukhei barged into the room in the middle of the conversation. He'd loudly ran towards their room and was panting from the rush. 'It's about Chenle! We have to go to Kun's office, let's go!'

The taller saw Yangyang moving like a slowpoke, so he just picked him up and carried him downstairs with Chittaphon following behind.

'Prove it.' Although Kun was noticeably anxious, he still kept a cold and serious expression.

'No need to. If you don't believe me, just don't. We have Chenle, and if you want him back we want Johnny in exchange. No tricks, no shit.' The voice from the other line said.

The humans were listening carefully and in silence as Kun dealt with the vampire that supposedly had Chenle.

'Alright. When and where?'

'You remember the place your friend tried to kill Jisung in? That place, at 01:27 am. Exactly. Be a single minute late or don't show up and the human is dead.'

Sicheng wrote down every single word he heard. He was a fast writer and kept up with the vampire's speech.

'I want all seven of you here, with Johnny. Alive. And if we suspect anything weird we will kill your friend right on the spot. We promise not to kill anyone as long as you stick to these conditions.' And with that, the vampire hung up, not even waiting for a response.
