Renjun stood behind the door and peeked in for a while. He saw Dejun's lab, his back facing him. He was in front of a table where someone laid.
'Open your eye.' And a few seconds later all he could hear were screams. Although he didn't want to look his eyes betrayed him. His eardrums ached as he heard those agonising yells, begging Dejun to stop. He painfully saw how Dejun took the guy's eye out of its socket without hesitation. The guy was struggling against the restrains, uselessly, because they were stronger than him.
Dejun contemplated the eyeball as if it was a precious jewel. Renjun was trembling. He had never seen such an explicit image. He couldn't deny the eye was beautiful, though. The investigator washed the eyeball carefully with a transparent liquid and placed it in a cilindric container. He wrote something with a pen on a white tag and glued it on the lid. The container was transparent, so the eyeball could be seen perfectly. He placed the container on a shelf and as he did so Renjun entered the room.
'D-dejun...'
'Hmm?' Dejun didn't even turn around to face Renjun.
'Kunhang told me to give you-'
'Leave it on the table next to you.' Dejun already knew what he was talking about. He placed the box Kunhang had given him in the table next to him and then proceeded to discretely look at the person laying on the central table.
The poor guy was panting as he didn't seem to have energy left to do anything else. As soon as Renjun's eyes landed on the guy's face he recognised him. He'd seen him in his friend's house more than once, he even heard his name.
Johnny...
He felt so sorry for him, but there was nothing he could do at this point.
Johnny was laying on the table topless. Dried blood all over his chest, though there was no visible wound there. His pants were quite dirty, as if he'd been in a very wild fight. His wrists and ankles had marks from the restrains, which were damaging his skin. His face remained blank and his hair was a mess. His right eye was teary, in contrast with the left side, which had blood pouring from where the eye should have been.
He was really handsome... now he looks like a mistreated animal.
Renjun looked away and left the lab as soon as Dejun opened the box to examine the material Kunhang had sent him.
Jisung's pupils dilated as he saw him again. He was peacefully playing in the park, alone. He climbed on the toboggan and was ready to slide down when a taller kid appeared behind him and pushed him harshly. The Chinese kid fell down the slide and landed on the dirty ground. Jisung's blood boiled as he saw his bloody arm and the tears his Lele was trying to swallow.
'oH nOoO cHenLoLo fEll dOwn' Another kid appeared out of nowhere and mocked Lele, who was still on the ground. Jisung wanted to intervene, however he didn't dare to. He didn't want to share Lele as he looked like an enraged beast who would jump on those kids as soon as he approached them.
A few moments later a man showed up as he saw Lele had been hurt. 'Chenle, sweetie, what happened?'
Chenle didn't answer. The kid who had pushed him answered for him instead.
'Mr Zhong, Chenle fell down the slide!'
'Aye Chenle you have to be a bit more careful, yeah?'
Chenle nodded cutely as the man picked him up.
'Thanks, dad.'
Chenle's father left the park with his son in his arms, leaving the two kids Jisung despised so much alone. It was starting to get dark, so Jisung got out of the dark place he was hiding in and slowly approached the children. He wasn't looking at them in the eyes, his gaze was burning holes on the ground.
'Who are you? Do you want to be our f-' The first kid didn't have time to speak as Jisung shut him up with a punch.
'Don't touch MY Lele ever again.' He didn't know why those words came out of his mouth. He wasn't thinking. His heart was completely guiding him and he had no power over his own words.
'B-but-' The other kid spoke. Jisung grabbed his neck and choked him. He let him go harshly, letting him fall onto the ground coughing. He kicked him on the stomach hard enough to send him a few meters away. Then, he kicked the kid he'd punched previously on the knee and once he was laying on the floor he placed his foot on him.
'Don't ever get near him. Understood?'
'Y-yeah...' The child who was under him said weakly. The other one had passed out so he couldn't answer.
'Come on Johnny... answer already...' Mark was anxiously staring at his phone screen. Johnny hadn't showed up nor contacted him in practically a whole day. Mark had called him about ten or twenty times already, but he hadn't answered yet.
'Did he answer?' Jungwoo asked Mark. They lived together in the same flat.
'Not yet... Fuck, dude, where on earth are you?!'
Jungwoo watched as Mark yelled at his own phone. He decided to ask Doyoung just in case, maybe he knew where Johnny was.
'Dodo?'
'Jungwoo? Is there anything wrong?'
'Have you seen Johnny or do you know-'
'Jaehyun, stop !!!' Doyoung whispered, interrupting Jungwoo momentarily.
'...do you know where he is?'
'Uhm... No clue. Maybe ask Jisung or- jAEHYUN NOT NOW- maybe Jaemin knows.'
'Okay thanks Dodo.' Jungwoo hung up and called Jisung immediately.
After calling all their friends and still not getting any news about Johnny they decided to give up.
'I'm worried... He usually tells us when he's going to be somewhere else for a long time...'
'Don't worry Jungwoo, he's probably with some girl or guy right now. He's fine.' Mark hugged him to calm him down. Jungwoo was a very caring person, so he didn't want him to worry about Johnny even though he himself couldn't assure the taller male would be fine.
