'I thought we were here for something important?' Donghyuck said as his nose scrunched at the sight. Jaehyun and Taeyong were messily making out on the couch, the older being on Jaehyun's lap, as if they hadn't called them telling them all to come urgently.

Donghyuck was standing in front of the couch where Taeyong and Jaehyun were. Doyoung was next to him while Jungwoo was sitting on a chair while playing on his phone. Jasmin and Jeni were in the garden that surrounded the fairly big house.

'It is something important. But you know Taeyong doesn't really care about the situation when it comes to... you know...' Doyoung said. He was facepalming internally. Taeyong was the kind of person to either care to the point where he wouldn't hesitate to break someone's spine for the smallest thing or not give a shit even if a tornado was about to swallow the edifice he's in. There was absolutely no in between.

'You're just jealous you don't have M-' Jaehyun shut the older up by slamming Taeyong's face against his chest before he could start an argument with Donghyuck.

Taeyong got the message and huffed,  pulling his head away from Jaehyun's chest. Donghyuck's fists clenched, but he tried to keep the rage in. He knew what Taeyong wanted to say, and if it weren't for Jaehyun's intervention they might have ended up in a not so friendly fight.

'G-guys... can you open the door, p-please?'

They heard someone knocking the door from outside. They immediately recognised that voice.

Jungwoo was the fastest one to react, rushing to open the door and greet their guest.

'Baek!'

There he was, teary eyed and hyperventilating.

'J-jungwoo... I-I'm so s-sorry... I'm so sorry Jungwoo, I... Please, forgive me. I'm so sorry, I really don't want you to get hurt, I-'

Jungwoo heard a noise and he was fast enough to react in milliseconds, he switched their positions so that his back was facing the garden. He felt the bullets colliding against his skin as he held Baekhyun tightly to protect him.

All the glass windows of the house crashed at once, producing a loud noise that alarmed everyone that was in it. Bullets were being shot from the outside, destroying everything that was in their way.

Only one room remained practically untouched. Chenle and Jisung heard the window crash, however, no bullet got inside the bedroom. Jisung held Chenle tighter, waiting for something to happen.

Jisung had barged into Chenle's room about an hour ago, with no explanations, and caged Chenle with his arms. Although the older tried, it was no use struggling against the vampire's strong arms. The two males had stayed in that awkward position that made Chenle's heart go crazy until the window crashed. At this point, Chenle didn't know if his heart beated fast due to fear, rage or... attraction?

It would be quite insane liking someone like Jisung, wouldn't it?

The shooting sounds stopped earlier than expected. The humans stayed silent in confusion until Kun ordered to retreat.

'But Chenle-'

'They're all alive, Yanyang. You won't be able to get him. Let's go.' Kun made the younger shut up through the ear piece. They were all scattered around the house. Yukhei was in the front, Sicheng was in the back while Kunhang and Chittaphon were one on each side. Yangyang was with Chittaphon and he was supposed to sneak in to rescue Chenle.

Yukhei tsked as he left his position, walking towards the van where Kun was waiting for them. He caught a glimpse of a vampire coming his way, so he started running. The vampire was way faster so he caught him a few meters away, slamming him against a neighbor house's wall.

Jungwoo was mad. He couldn't believe those miserable humans were ready to sacrifice Baekhyun. If he hadn't reacted fast enough, Baekhyun would be dead by now, wounded by dozens of bullets.

'How fucking dare you?!' He yelled as his hands tightened around the human's throat. Yukhei let out a choking noise. He was struggling to breathe. 'You could have killed him! He's a human. A human! At this point, I don't even care if you want to kill us for being vampires. But, for fuck's sake, Baekhyun is a fucking human!'

Jungwoo punched Yukhei's side so hard he swore he could hear at least one of his ribs breaking. Jungwoo released him and the human collapsed on the ground. He kicked his stomach, not hard enough to kill him, and went back inside the house.

'Yangyang!' Chittaphon yelled as he pulled the younger behind him to protect him. A vampire almost got him and he didn't want Yangyang to get hurt.

Jeno saw the human take a pocket knife out and point it at him, threatening to attack if he got near.

'Look, you'll make it alive this time. If you dare coming here as unexpected guests again we can't guarantee you'll leave unharmed.' The vampire threatened, making Yangyang shiver.

Jaemin approached the human that was in the back of the house from behind, silently waiting for the moment to get him. The human was facing the house, Donghyuck opened the window in front of the human and jumped out, standing just about two meters from him.

'Seems like you, little humans, couldn't get your friend. You really think you're superior, don't you? Let me tell you, we won't submit so easily.'

'You-' Sicheng's words were interrupted when someone placed his hand on his mouth to stop him from talking.

Sicheng struggled against Jaemin's hold. He didn't expect a vampire to attack him from behind. Hell, when did they even appear? They weren't supposed to know about their plans in such detail.

'What are you waiting for, Jaemin? Kill him!'

Jaemin hesitated for a few seconds, long enough for Sicheng to pull out a small glass bottle from his pocket and throw it on the floor, stepping on it right after.

The glass broke, and the liquid that was inside that tiny container didn't take long to evaporate, creating a small cloud of transparent gas that surrounded them.

The vampires' eyes started stinging immediately, followed by a horrible sensation of needles piercing through their nose and throat. The air became unbreathable as the two vampires started coughing violently.

Jaemin's hold on Sicheng loosened, enough for him to free himself. None of the vampire's could see anymore, their eyes were crying and the more they rubbed their eyes to get rid of the sting the worse it got. Donghyuck covered his mouth with his hand and coughed, staining it with his own blood.

'Donghyuck!' Jaemin heard Doyoung calling the younger.

'Doyoung, d-don't come near us!' He blindly shouted in the older's direction.

Doyoung watched the scene in pure horror. What was happening? Jaehyun ignored Jaemin's pleads and ran towards them, picking both of them up and carrying them inside despite the sting that hurt his eyes and mouth.

Sicheng finally made it to the van where Kun was. Hendery had arrived a while before. They were waiting for the rest, but Chittaphon and Yangyang weren't there yet because the younger was determined to get Yukhei back.

Yangyang found Yukhei a few meters away on the floor. He looked like he'd passed out, he stubbornly picked the taller up and carried him until they got on the van.

'Yukhei... Yukhei, can you hear me? Yukhei, please, say something!'
