Chanyeol ordered Jisung to stay home as he left the house. He put a mask on and ran as fast as he could towards the place his little brother had told him. He climbed walls and jumped from one roof to another, internally crossing his fingers for the human to still be there.
The plan was easy. He would check whether the human was alive or not. If he was, he would anonymously bring him to the hospital. If he wasn't, he would make sure no one saw it an burn the corpse in a dumpster.
He arrived there. No one in sight. He cursed and checked every where. The human couldn't have walked much further by himself. He noticed a place with a faint smell of human fear pheromones, but it was empty. There was absolutely no one.
He saved the smell in his memory. Combining the information of the pheromones and the blood he'd smelt in Jisung's mouth he could figure out the actual smell of the human, and after the short explanation Jisung had given him, he knew the age of that Chenzhe human.
They would have to be careful from now on. He hoped they would never cross paths with that human again. The only good news were that Chanle was a human and therefore would die within the next 80 years approximately, so after that Jisung would be completely safe.
'Hey, you. Where is Park Jisung?' Chenle asked to a random student in the corridor.
'Park Jisung? Dunno, everyone says he dropped out. Why? Is he your friend?'
'None of your business.'
Chenle cut the student off and went to his class, hearing him talk to another student behind his back.
'Isn't that Zhong? Didn't he drop out too?'
'Some people even thought he disappeared and died or something, but now that I see him he's perfectly alive.'
'That's weird... Do you think Sungie will come back too?'
Chenle tsked.
As if I couldn't hear them... I'm not a vampire, but I'm not deaf either.
He entered the class and sat on the first place he found, not giving a shit about anyone around him.
'Hey, you. That's my seat.' A tall guy said, towering over him.
'Oopsie.'
'Go sit somewhere else.'
'You got legs. Use them.' He tried to shoo him off, but the guy wouldn't budge.
'Listen here, you little-' The guy grabbed his arm forcefully, but Chenle was fast to react and gripped the guy's wrist with his other hand, twisting it hard and making the guy wince in pain.
'Don't put your dirty hands on me.' He sassed. He was used to defending himself from vampires, a simple human had nothing to do against him.
He twisted the wrist harder until the guy was on his knees, but his pride didn't let him ask Chenle to stop. Once both his knees made contact with the floor, Chenle's foot lightly pushed him, as he released his wrist, and made him fall over.
'Don't you mess with me.' Chenle dared him.
The guy growled and left Chenle alone, searching for another seat to sit on.
The teacher arrived, late as always. She put her stuff on the table and faced Chenle.
'Oh, Zhong, welcome back. Your father called to tell us you were coming back. I'm sorry for what happened to your grandparents...'
Chenle nodded at the teacher's words.
Grandparents? Really, Kun? That's the best excuse you could make up?
Yangyang heard the door opening, he put on a bright smile and greeted the customer.
'Welcome to Qian's Perfume! May I help- Oh, it's you.' He said, changing his friendly tone to a completely hostile one.
'Yeah. It's me.' The vampire answered dryly.
'What do you want, vampire?'
'It's Kim Jungwoo, thankyou very much.' He answered bitterly.
'Oh, Jungwoo. Nice to meet you.' Yangyang said, holding out his hand for a handshake.
'Can't say the same.'
'I'm Yangyang.' He ignored Jungwoo's comment. 'What can I offer you?'
'No need to say your name twice.' The vampire mocked.
'Very funny.' Yangyang let out an extremely fake laugh as he shook Jungwoo's hand. 'Do you want something or do I have to kick you out?'
'I want perfume.'
'Oh, really? I thought you wanted a blowjob.' Jungwoo rolled his eyes at Yangyang's annoying behaviour. 'What kind of perfume?'
'Show me all you got.'
Yangyang walked around the counter and went to one of the shelves on the left. He turned around to face the vampire with a sample in hand.
'Here-' The human shut up as he noticed the vampire in front of him, his nose millimeters away from his neck. 'Get off me.' The vampire ignored him and kept sniffing his skin.
'You were someone's dinner last night, weren't you?' He said as he trraced his fingers along the two marks on the human's neck.
The vampire's touch sent shivers down Yangyang's spine. He gulped and slightly bent backwards, trying to avoid the other's touch.
Jungwoo licked the human's neck, slightly savouring his blood. 'Let me guess... was it that tall friend of yours? What's his name? Yukhei?'
'Look, vampire. I get that I'm attractive and you're thirsting for my delicious, warm blood, but I'm not really interested in you, y'know?'
'I'll take this one.' Jungwoo said, after snatching the perfume sample from Yangyang. He handed the human a few bills without even looking at him in the eyes.
Yangyang glared at the vampire, nonetheless, he took the money and handed him the perfume with the change.
'Take care of him.'
'Huh?'
'Your Yukhei. Take care of him. Or else, he will get hurt.'
'Are you threatening us-' But it was too late, the vampire wasn't in his sight anymore, he'd left the shop without listening to Yangyang.
Jungwoo left with a satisfied smirk as he headed home. Mark and Johnny were probably wondering where he went. As soon as he stepped inside his he changed that previous smirk for a sweet, innocent smile.
'Guys! I'm home!'
