'Oh, Chenle. You're ho-'

Smack.

The taller pouted. 'What was that for?'

Chenle had just barged into the gym while he was holding weights and smacked his head.

'You deserve it hoe. Why'd you tell Jisung to kiss me?!'

'Ohh so he did.' Yukhei left the weights on the floor and wiggled his eyebrows at Chenle. 'Is he a good kisser?'

The younger blushed madly as he slapped Yukhei's cheek.

'i sWEAR TO FUCKING GOD THOSE KNIVES ALMOST GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK. Can you believe it, Injunnie? tHEY DISAPPEARED and then I told Chittaphon and Sicheng and then I came back with them to show them aND THEY REAPPEARED.' Kunhang was rambling on about what had happened earlier to Renjun while making a knife.

The younger was worried he would hurt himself. Kunhang was holding the knife above a flame, spraying it with a liquid and turning it around from time to time.

The older left the knife to cool down and Renjun passed him another one. He repeated the process of coating the knives with a substance that would make them pierce through a vampire's skin until they had a whole set of weapons.

'Johnny Suh will no longer work in the library.'

'Why is that?'

'He is going to work for us. We will need him from now on. We will send you money in compensation for breaking the contract he had with the library and we will deal with all the paperwork. For now just erase his name and destroy all documents that mention him. Oh, and if someone happened to ask for his whereabouts, say you have never had a worker named Johnny Suh.'

Kun hung up after talking to the library's director. Chittaphon had transferred a huge amount of money for the institution's silence.

'We've been taking way too many risks. We will have to operate legally from now on, erasing records requires too much effort. We had enough trouble with Park Chanyeol and Johnny Suh.' The older told Chittaphon. They both knew some vampires were starting to suspect they were behind those disappearances, although there was no evidence to prove so. Besides, there was another murder Chittaphon had to hide Kun didn't know of, Nakamota Yuta's.

Yangyang had heard what happened at the Japanese's house. Chittaphon had requested him to do so as he was worried for the younger's safety. They tracked down Chenle's location and saw he'd left the place in a rush, probably leaving the corpse there, so Chittaphon had to make sure Yuta's death file said 'Cause of death: suicide.' Yangyang spread the rumour through social media that Yuta's boyfriend had left him and he killed himself because of the heartbreak.

Park Chanyeol's death was a little harder to hide. According to the papers he had died in a car crash, where the car he was in had exploded, making it impossible to get the corpse back.

Johnny Suh legally left the country. Yangyang made sure to book a flight in his name and they resigned his nationality.

'Alright, we'll get him with a bit of help from the penal system. It will take longer, but at least we'll make sure no one suspects a thing.'

Chenle sighed. That kiss just felt so... surreal. It wasn't the first time he kissed, he'd kissed other people previously. There was just something about Jisung that made him special. He didn't know what, but he felt he and Jisung were destined to be together, it was almost like he'd met him before...

He felt a bit guilty, though. Did he get over Yuta that fast? Don't get him wrong. Chenle did love Yuta. However, being betrayed by him was something he could not tolerate.

The vampire felt a presence behind him. However, as he turned around he saw no one. He sniffed the air around him, however he couldn't detect another aroma, human or vampire.

Yangyang smirked. He was wearing a perfume that masked his aroma. That was a technique they constantly used not to be detected by vampires, as they had a very sharp sense of smell. He smelt of wood, so the vampire probably thought there was a wood box or a piece of furniture near with a strong aroma.

He was silently following the vampire, carrying a camera to take photos of his target.

Jisung's father came back later than usual. He smelt of gunpowder and fear, human fear. The younger saw him arrive, but he didn't ask anything. He knew his father often was out to do some 'business'.

Seonghwa was often hired to kill people, whether they were vampires or humans. That was their main income, since besides from that he didn't have any other job.

He was pretty good at that, his skills allowed him to kill fast and quietly, without waking many suspicions. Although his family knew of his job, he never shared any details about his targets and missions. He did that to keep them out of trouble, since his family was his first priority.

Yangyang's job was interrupted as he received a message from Kun.

Urgent. We're having a meeting in our office.

He rushed to the building, at this point not even caring about the vampire who heard his running footsteps.

As soon as he got there he saw all of them seated, except for Chittaphon, who was standing in front of all of them. Kun was seated right next to him. Chenle and Yukhei were sitting on one side, an empty chair next to the taller. On the other side Sicheng, Dejun, Kunhang and Renjun.

He quietly apologized for the delay and sat next to Yukhei.

Chittaphon took a deep breath.

'Kun's father passed away.'
