'We are not releasing the vampire.'

'Then I'm not going to school!'

'Chenle, going to school is not a punishment, it's for your future.'

'What future, Kun?! What future if you're just gonna get rid of me when I become a problem just like you did with Yukhei!'

'Chenle, don't raise your voice at me.'

'I won't shut up until you let Yukhei go! And I won't go to school either!' Chenle furiously threw his backpack across the office, angering Kun even more.

'Chen-'

'Did you forget?' Chittaphon interrupted Kun's words, addressing the younger.

'Huh?' Chenle asked, not knowing what Chittaphon meant.

'Did you forget why you're here? Shall I remind you?'

'What? New parents?'

'Yes. You three will be given in adoption to three different families. Chittaphon and I cannot take care of three kids, we are too young to be parents, we have a job and we are so busy-'

'I will help you!' Chenle said. He really didn't want to leave Kun, he'd grown way too attached to the older.

'Me too!' Yangyang said, clinging to Chittaphon.

'I can help you too!' Yukhei exclaimed.

Chittaphon and Kun looked at each other, meditating wether they should let the kids work with them or not.

'Our job is dangerous. We cannot force three kids to risk their lives and-'

'Don't worry, I'm strong and experienced in fights.' Yukhei interrupted Kun.

'I-i can fight too!' Added Yangyang.

Chittaphon gave Kun a 'let me handle this' look. He would test the kids. He would say terrifying things and if they got scared they had an excuse to give them in adoption and if they didn't they were strong enough to work with them.

'But we don't fight against normal people. We fight against vampires. Vampires are way stronger than humans, without specialised tools that are difficult to use it's impossible for a human to win against a vampire. Plus, both Kun and I and all the people we work with know that one of us might die. We are ready to accept a sudden and violent death.' Despite Chittaphon's harsh words, the three kids didn't even flinch. 'And also, we know that if we aren't careful enough we might turn into vampires. And when a human turns into a vampire, they lose their humanity. They will start thirsting for blood and killing people. That's why we're ready to kill any vampire, no matter how attached we were to them before they became monsters.'

'Chittaphon, if Kun turned into a vampire, would you kill him?'

'Yes.' Chittaphon didn't even hesitate, and much to the kids' surprise Kun didn't bat an eye either. 'As I said before, we're mentally prepared to kill any vampire.'

'I will kill vampires too!' Chenle said. 'I don't care who they are, I hate vampires! I will kill them!'

'Chenle, you are the youngest and the least experienced in fights.' Kun said.
