Kun was on his way home, walking through the empty streets. He decided he'd take a different route this time, tired of the monotony of everyday.

He was humming a soft melody when he saw what looked like... a human sized... bag? A pile of clothes? A dog?

Kun walked closer as he noticed the mysterious bundle slightly inflating and deflating. Once he was in front of it, he carefully crouched down as he saw it wasn't a dog but a kid.

He carefully poked it, he didn't want it to turn out to be a vampire who would attack him right in the spot. He got no response, so he carefully uncurled the fetal pose the kid was in. He felt the body's temperature which confirmed it was a human and placed two of his fingers against the kid's wrists, checking if he was still alive.

He carefully picked him up and walked home with the kid on his arms.

When he got home, Chittaphon immediately greeted him.

'Hey ba-'

'Shhh!' Kun made Chittaphon shut up as he didn't want the kid to wake up. The two of them carefully placed the kid on their shared bed and Chittaphon went to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

'Hey, kid. Can you hear me?' Kun tried getting a reaction from the kid, talking to him and slightly touching his face.

The kid moved. He opened his eyes, slowly as first, but as soon as he realised he wasn't in a familiar place he shot them open.

Kun's eardrums almost exploded as he heard the kid's loud yell as soon as he regained consciousness. The kid crawled away from him until his back was touching the headboard. He curled up into a ball and cried, looking at Kun, trembling like a trapped puppy.

Kun got closer to the kid and placed a hand on his knee.

'D-don't touch me!'

Kun retreated his hand immediately.

'W-who are you?! Why am I here?! You're going to kill me, aren't you?'

'Don't be scared, kid. My name is Kun, and I found you sleeping in the street. I'm not going to kill you, don't worry. Tell me, were you attacked by a vampire?' Kun said. The kid immediately searched for the two marks that were on his neck with his hand.

'Y-yes...'

'It's okay. You're safe now. We'll protect you.'

'W-we?'

'Yes. Chittaphon and I will take care of you. Now, will you tell me your name?' The mentioned male appeared seconds after, offering the kid a glass of water.

'C-chenle. My n-name is Zhong Chenle.'

As lame as it might sound, Kun was deep in his thoughts while staring at a picture he had of Chenle in his office. They weren't related by blood, yet he grew fond of the younger in just a few years.

Kun hated it. He hated feeling he had a soft spot for someone. He'd always had this belief feelings make people weak.

His thoughts were interrupted with a loud impact coming from another floor.

'Y-yukhei?!' Yangyang's throat was being squeezed tightly by a couple of strong hands. He scratched on the taller's arms but he didn't even flinch. He was leaning towards Yukhei to check if he was fine and now he found himself being pulled by the throat, his face centimeters away from the taller's.

'Funny how in this situation you're still calling for Yukhei.' He said. Sicheng was frozen in his place, watching how Yangyang struggled against the other's hold.

'L-lucas...'

Lucas smirked.

'W-why are you here? Did he... forget to... take his medicine?'

Lucas laughed as he tightened his grip around Yangyang's throat.

'What? You think those things work like magic? That Yukhei will just swallow them and make me disappear? No, little one. Yukhei is the one who never lets me come out in front of you. The pills are there just to help.' He let lout a blood-freezing laugh as he let Yangyang go, pushing him away. The younger landed on the floor as he coughed, trying to soothe his throat. Lucas got up and crouched down in front of Yangyang. 'You're just as pathetic as Yukhei is.'

Lucas turned around to face Sicheng, getting closer and closer to him. As Sicheng retreated he slightly signaled a syringe and a small bottle that were on a shelf with his eyes, making sure Yangyang understood what he meant.

'I really don't understand why Yukhei thought leaving the fights for this was worth it.' Lucas saw Sicheng's back bumping into the wall as the older tried to distance himself from him.

Yangyang silently got up and grabbed the materials Sicheng told him, slowly filling the syringe with liquid.

'His stupid ass almost killed us more than once.' Lucas tsked as his fist collided against the wall's surface, right next to Sicheng's head. 'I hate Yukhei. I hate him. I hate him for keeping me from coming out. It's almost like he's ashamed of me. Can you fucking believe it? I should be the one ashamed of his weak-'

Lucas' words were interrupted by a syringe sinking into his neck. Yangyang injected the sedative a bit too fast, Lucas turned around immediately and threw a fist in his direction, hitting Yangyang's jaw.

Yangyang fell on the floor, covering with his hand the spot he'd just been hit in. He looked up seconds after and the taller's expression was completely different. The previous psychopathic smirk turned into a worried gasp.

'Yangyang! I'm sorry...'

Yukhei came back.

Yukhei started feeling dizzy, the effects of the sedative kicking in slowly. He groaned as he tried to keep himself awake but failed and collapsed right in front of Yangyang.

'Hey, baby, don't worry about me. I'm fine, see?' Mark reassured Donghyuck as he softly caressed his hair. Donghyuck nuzzled Mark's neck and hummed as a response.

Oh, how he had missed that feeling. They were at Mark's house, Donghyuck was sitting on his lap like the clingy boyfriend he was. Mark's arms were around the younger's waist and Donghyuck's head against the older's chest, both of them comfortable with each other.
