Lily's POV: The next day, I went to school and noticed that Edward didn't arrive with his family. I guess I wasn't the only one who noticed since Bella was staring at his siblings.
Alice glanced at me and gave me a reassuring smile, almost like she knew I was looking for Edward.
The next day after that, he still wasn't there. I started to become worried about my soulmate. Did something happen? Did I do something?
A couple days past, and he still didn't show up. Bella kept glancing at his siblings and they all glared at her, making her turn away instantly.
My heart started to hurt because I hadn't seen my soulmate in a while. I think the rest of Edward's siblings sensed my pain as they looked a little worried at me.
I just hope that he's okay. And I hope that he'll come back.
The next morning, I took a shower and changed into my outfit.

I lightly curled my hair and put some light makeup on. After I finished, getting ready I put my shoes on and went into the kitchen to find Danny looking through some files.
"Hey, what're you looking at? Can I know?" I asked him.
"It's a case that I'm working on with Charlie. I'm gonna be home late tonight so I'll leave some money for dinner. When you're done with school, get home immediately and stay here until I get home. Don't answer the door for anyone" he told me seriously.
"Danny, what's wrong?" I asked worriedly.
He sighed, "Charlie and I are gonna go to Mason County today. A security guard at the Grisham Mill got killed by some kind of animal" he told me.
"An animal?" I asked.
"Possibly. I don't know yet. I wanna check it out, just to be sure" he told me.
"And if it's not an animal?" I asked him.
"Then we stay alert and stay ready. We can't leave when we just got here. It'll look suspicious" he told me.
I nodded before giving him a hug, "Promise me, you'll be careful" I told him.
He hugged me and gave me a kiss on my head, "I promise. I'll bring my dagger, just in case" he told me.
I nodded then let go of him, "You better head out or you're gonna be late. Be careful, it's slippery out" he told me and I nodded.
School went by fast today. My last class was Biology. Eric was walking with me and Bella was behind us.
"Prom Committee is a chick thing, but I gotta cover it for the paper anyway, and they need a guy to help choose the music, so I need your play list" he told me and I nodded.
"Hey, listen, I was wondering, did you have a date to..." Eric was cut off by Mike, who came in and was spraying me with the water from his hat.
"What's up, Cali? Huh? How you liking the rain, girl? Better get used to it, girl" he told me before I walked away from the guys.
