The next day after school, Danny told me that we were eating at the Diner with Charlie and Bella.
He said Charlie feels bad about everything that Bella has done and wanted to make it up to me by buying us dinner.
I parked in the parking lot of the diner, where I saw Mike walking towards me.
"Cali. Yo, what's happening? So you and Cullen, huh?" he asked me and I nodded.
"That's... I don't like it. I mean, I don't know, he just looks at you like you're something to eat" he told me.
"Well thanks for your concern, but my relationship is none of your business" I told him before I walked into the diner.
I walked in and saw Charlie and Danny talking, while Bella tried to get my brother's attention. "Hey, sorry I'm late. Biology project" I told them.
"I ordered you a cheeseburger with fries" Danny told me.
"Maybe you should get a salad. Cut back on the steak, Danny" I joked.
"Hey, I'm still good looking" he told me which made me laugh and playfully push him.
"Say, Chief, Deputy, boys want to know, did you find anything down by Queets River today?" the waitress asked Charlie and Danny.
I noticed the men at the table next to us became silent as they wanted to know as well. Charlie looked at Danny and nodded.
"Yeah, we found a bare human footprint, but it looks like whoever it is, is headed East" Danny told her.
"Kitsap County sheriff is gonna take over from there" Charlie added.
Danny and I shared a knowing look. "I just hope they catch him fast" the waitress said sadly before walking away.
We started eating after that. "Looks like your friends are flagging you, Lily" Charlie told me.
I looked out the window and saw Mike shaking his butt and I rolled my eyes at the sight.
"It's okay if you wanna go join them, sis. I'm just gonna turn in early anyway" Danny told me.
"Yeah, I'm gonna pass on joining them" I told him.
"Looks like the Newton boy's got a big smile for you" Charlie teased me.
"He's an idiot but a friend" I told him causing him to chuckle.
"What about you, Bella any of these other yahoos in town?" Charlie asked.
"There's this one boy that I like and he likes me" she told him shyly.
"Who is it?" he asked her.
"Edward Cullen" she told him shyly.
I glared at her, "He doesn't even like you. And he's my boyfriend" I told her.
Charlie sighed tiredly, "Bella, you need to stop this. Enough is enough. Lily and Edward are together and you need to leave them alone" he scolded her.
I pushed my plate away and stood up, "Thanks for dinner, Charlie but I have some homework to finish" I told him before looking at Danny, "I'll see you at home?" I asked and he nodded.
After that, I started walking out as I heard Charlie apologize to Danny. I felt bad for Charlie having to deal with Bella and her craziness.

I was in my room sketching the view I saw with Edward up in the tree when I felt a breeze in my room.
I jumped when I saw Edward sitting on my bed. He smirked at me, knowing that he scared me.
I put my sketchbook and pencil on my nightstand before sitting up and moving toward him a bit.
"How did you get in here?" I asked him.
"The window" he told me with a smile.
"Do you do that a lot?" I asked him.
"Well, just the past couple of months. I like watching you sleep. It's kind of fascinating to me" he told me.
I shook my head with a smile. "There is something I want to try" he told me.
I nodded, "Okay" I told him.
He leaned in and kissed me. I kissed back and I moved my hands to his hair as he grabbed my hips and placed me on his lap.
We continued to kiss as I felt his hands go down to my butt and gave it a squeeze making me gasp at the touch.
We pulled away slightly and I saw the lust in his eyes. He quickly flipped me over and got on top of me and kissed me again.
He left my lips as he started to kiss my jaw and move down to neck. I moaned when he made it to my sweet spot and I heard him slightly growl at the noise I made.
He moved back to my lips as I felt his hands go under my shirt and touched my breasts. I moaned into his mouth at the touch of his hands on me.
He pulled away slightly as we got more heated. I was breathless at what just happened. "I'm stronger than I thought" he laughed.
"I wish I could say the same" I told him blushingly.
"We just have to be careful. I can never lose control with you. Ever" he told me and I nodded.
After that, we stayed up talking for a while. I showed him the sketch I drew and he was very impressed at it.
3rd POV:
As time went on, the couple laid on Lily's bed and continued to talk. Lily became tired as time went on and she slowly fell asleep.
Edward watched her try to fight her tiredness but in the end she fell asleep. He watched as her eyes fluttered shut.
He reached over and gently rubbed her cheek with his thumb. The action caused her to smile in her sleep then she wrapped an arm around his torso and laid her head on his chest.
Edward smiled at his sleeping mate. She wasn't affected by how cold he was. He watched her sleep with a loving smile.
He couldn't understand how someone so amazing as Lily could love a monster like him. But she did, she loved him with everything she had and he hoped that their time together will last for a long time.
