Chapter 5 ~Will's Rising~

Lily's POV:
It was a month after Will was born and he made things a lot better. His smile warmed my heart after his father left.

He was growing slightly faster, but not enough for people to notice. We also noticed that when Will gets really happy, the lights start to flicker.
We think it's his vampire gift, but we don't know what it is yet.

Will loves going on walks with Finn and I. To everyone, he was our adopted brother. We supposedly took him in after my aunt died from giving birth to him.

Only Danny and I know the truth. Will met a couple people like Charlie and I was going to take him to see Billy and Jake after his rising.

I took a shower while Will was taking a nap before I changed into my dress and curled my hair.

After I was done, I went into Will's room and looked in his crib to find him already awake and smiling at me.

"Hi my beautiful boy! Today's a very important day for you" I told him as I picked him up and placed him on the changing table.

I changed Will into a white onesie with a hat and wrapped him in a white blanket.

"Today is your rising. You're gonna be blessed by your ancestors today" I told him and he smile at me.

"Danny! Let's go" I called as I picked up Will, who started playing with my hair as we went downstairs.

"I'm coming. I'm coming" he told me as he walked down the stairs in a white shirt.

After that, I put Will in his car seat as Danny drove us to the place he thought we could have the rising ceremony without anyone seeing.

He parked the car as I got out and went to the back to get Will. Danny grabbed the bag of supplies as we walked to the clearing.

When we got there, I had Danny hold Will while I prepared the ceremony. I placed candles in the form of a big circle and put white crystals in between each candle.

In the middle, I put different herbs in the circle before I grabbed a knife and made a cut on my palm and let the blood fall in the circle. The blood of the mother/witch.

Danny walked towards me with Will, who started crying when he saw me cut myself. "It's okay, baby" I told him and he slowly stopped crying.

I grabbed Will and gave Danny the knife. He cut his palm as well and let the blood drop in the circle. The blood of a protector.

"Okay, baby. I'm gonna put you down for a little while" I told him before Danny brought his car seat and I put Will in.

Danny and I stepped out of the circle as I waved my hand and the candles all lit.

My eyes glowed blue as I raised my hands towards the sky as I called upon the ancestors to bless Will as a protector.

"Vie dans des ancêtres, refoncer noblesse. Comme des ancêstres, de coeur noblesse. Décider on de ancêstres, garder noblesse" I said as four bright lights came down around the circle.

The lights disappeared as four people stood. Mom, Dad, Serena the ancestor I met on the other side, and a past protector.

"So this is my grandson?" Dad asked me and I nodded.

"Mom? Dad?" Danny asked shocked.

They smiled at him, "Hey Danny boy" Dad greeted.

"Hi sweetie" Mom greeted.

"What is his name?" Serena asked me.

I looked at dad and smiled, "William Mason Cullen" I announced and Dad smiled happily.

"He's part vampire?" The past protector asked me and I nodded, "His father is a vampire" I told him.

"He has energy manipulation as his vampire gift. It will help him protect the witches he will protect" he told me.

"Witches? As in more than one?" I asked.

"You'll know in the future. It's time to bless the child" Serena told me. I was confused but nodded.

"William Mason Cullen, the next protector of the Knight Witches. We give you the abilities that will help you with this purpose. The ability of strength, the ability of speed, the ability of heightened senses. May these abilities help you with protecting your future witches" Serena said as we all joined hands.

All of a sudden, there was small bright lights falling down on Will, like snow. He was given his abilities and was blessed by the ancestors.

We let go as the ceremony was completed, "He has been blessed by all the ancestors. And he will be a great protector" Serena told me before she ascended back to the Other Side as well as the past protector.

We looked at Mom and Dad as they smiled at us, "You did good. You both did" Dad told us.

"We're so proud of you both" Mom told us.

"May we meet again" they told us.

"May we meet again" we replied as they ascended to the Other Side.

Danny and I smiled at each other before I went and grabbed Will. "You did so good baby boy!" I cheered and bounced him as he laughed.

Danny walked up to us, "You're gonna be a protector, just your Uncle Danny and Grandpa Will" he told him.

After that, we picked up everything and headed back to the car. We drove back home so we could change and go see Jake and Billy.
