Chapter 4 ~A Surprise~

Lily's POV:

It was a couple weeks after they left and I feel completely numb. I feel like my heart was ripped out of me when he left and I have only one person to blame for it. Bella Swan.

Charlie came over a couple of times and apologized for what Bella did. And for her being the reason why the Cullens left. Why he left me.

He left me the day after we made love for the first time. He left me broken and alone.

I know Danny is worried about me and so is Finn, but I don't have the strength to keep going.

I know Danny is furious with not only with him but with Bella as well. She caused this and he left me.

My soulmate left me and I don't know when he's coming back or if he'll come back.

All of a sudden, I felt this wave of nausea come over me and I ran to the bathroom. I threw up as I felt Danny hold my hair back.

After I finished, I rinsed out my mouth before brushing my teeth.

Danny put his hand on my forehead, "Well, you're not warm, so you don't have the flu" he told me.

I shrugged, "I feel fine and I'm eating the food you give me" I told him. I threw the towel into my laundry been before grabbing a new towel from my bathroom closet.

I grabbed a towel and froze when I saw something. A box of tampons. I started doing the math when I realized that my period was late.

"That's impossible" I said out loud.

"What is?" Danny asked me.

I turned to him with my eyes widened, "My period is late" I told him.

He looked confused, before he froze in realization.

"Did you..." he cut himself off when I nodded.

"With Him..." he cut himself off when I nodded.

"When?" he asked me.

"The night of my birthday. The night before... he left" I told him.

"But that's impossible" he told me.

"That's what I just said" I told as I felt tears start to fall, "I'm scared, Danny" I added.

He instantly wrapped his arms around me as I cried on his shoulder. I'm not ready to be a mom, I just turned 18 and the father left.

He left me without even knowing, that he's now going to be a father and I don't even know how to tell him since he never answered my calls or texts. None of them answered my calls or texts.

"It's gonna be okay. I'm here. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere. We'll get through this, like we always do. Together" Danny told me.

"I'm gonna have a baby and he's not even here to help me" I told him.

"I'm gonna be here to help you. And so will, Finn. We can do this" he told me.

"I wish mom was here" I told him.

If my mom was here, I know she'd know what to do. How to help me. How to calm me down.

"I know me too. I don't know what to do, but I'm not gonna leave your side" Danny assured me and I thanked the ancestors right then and there for blessing me with such an amazing brother.

"I can't believe this is happening. I'm pregnant with a vampires baby" I said out loud, then my eyes widened.

"The baby is gonna be part vampire" I told Danny and he nodded.

"The baby's gonna need blood to drink" I told him.

"You're gonna drink blood?" Danny ask disgustedly.

I rolled my eyes, "If it helps the baby then yes" I told him. "I'm gonna need animal blood" I added, making Finn look up at me and whine.

"Not you, Finn" I told him and he laid back down on my bed.

"I can go in the woods in the morning and get some" Danny told me and I nodded as I sat back on my bed next to Finn.

"We're gonna need a room for the baby, when he grows up" I told Danny, who smirked at me.

"He?" Danny asked a little amused.

"It's just a guess. More like a feeling" I told him as I felt a little bit better.

Maybe this baby that him and I created will save me from my depression. Maybe this baby will be the light in my darkness. Maybe this baby will be my saving grace.

~MEANWHILE~

At the Denali's house in Alaska. Alice was having an argument with her family.

"I can't see Lily's future anymore. We need to go back, just to make sure she's okay" Alice argued.

"We can't. If we go back then the mouth breather will be trying to get us to turn her again" Rosalie argued.

Esme put a hand on Alice's shoulder, "I know you're worried. We all are and we all care about Lily, but it's too dangerous right now with Bella threatening to expose us" Esme told her.

Alice sighed in defeat, "Has Edward decided anything?" Rosalie asked, worried for her brother.

Alice shook her head, "He only decided to be alone" she told everyone, as they all knew he was in pain from leaving his mate behind.

And they all knew how badly he wanted to go back for her. How badly he wanted to be with her again.

~IN AN APARTMENT IN RIO~
In an apartment in Rio, Edward sat in front of the window and watched as people walked around living their lives with the people they love.

While he was alone without his mate and his family. He so badly wanted to return to his mate, but they couldn't risk being exposed and never being able to go back Forks.

He looked at the picture of them that Alice took at her birthday party and he smiled at her, remembering how happy he was in that moment.

He also remembered the events that took place in her room and he felt guilty after leaving the day after they made love for the first time.

If only he knew the results of what they did that night brought him. He's a father and he doesn't even know it.
