Chapter 7 ~Motorcycles~

Lily's POV:
Jake, Will, and I were walking out of his garage as we finished our building session.

"So, Quil keeps asking to come over. I think he likes you a little too much" Jake told me.

"Well, I'm really not into the whole cougar thing" I teased.

"You're not that much older than us. I mean how old was that Cullen guy, anyway?" Jake asked.

And the thought of him made me sad. Jake helped a lot with trying to heal my broken heart and stop me from thing of him.

He left because of Bella, who kept trying to talk to me. She even came over to Jake's place and he told her to leave.

I gave Jake a sad smile before I put Will in the backseat as I went to the driver's seat and we drove home.

That night I dreamed of him and I woke up crying again. I missed him, I missed the others, but there was no way for me to reach out to them.

I just hoped, that someday they would come back so they can meet Will. So he could meet Will and we could be together, one loving and happy family.

~THE NEXT DAY~

The next day, I got a text from Jake. He told me the bikes were finished asked if he wanted to do a test run.

I took a shower and got dressed. I put my hair up in a ponytail so it would get in my face.

After that, I went to Will's room and saw him awake from his nap and standing up while holding onto the railing for help.

"Hey baby boy!" I greeted him and he squealed happily as the lights flickered again.

I picked him and bounced him a bit, "You are going to spend the day with Uncle Danny" I told him and he squealed again.

I put him on the changing table as I changed his diaper before changing him into his outfit.

After that, we went downstairs and I gave Will to Danny since Jake was going to pick me up.

"I'll be back later" I told him.

"What're you and Jake gonna do?" Danny asked as he gave Will some Cheerios for a small snack.

I shrugged, "We're just gonna hangout. Maybe go to the beach in La Push" I told him and he nodded before a horn honked.

I went over and gave kisses to Will making him giggle, "I love you my baby boy. Be good for Uncle Danny" I told him before walking out of the house and going to Jake's truck.

I got in and Jake started driving us, "If I told you I couldn't have fixed these bikes, what would you have said?" he asked me.

"Are you doubting your mad skills?" I asked him.

He chuckled, "No. Definitely not. I mean they'll run fine. It's just, maybe if I was smart, I would have dragged out the rebuild a bit" he told me.

"If you told me you couldn't fix these bikes, I would say that's too bad and we're going to have to find something else to give Danny for his birthday while we hang out" I told him.

He laughed before something caught my eye on the cliffs. "Is that Sam Uley?" I asked, remembering him as the one who found me.

"Yeah, him and his cult" Jake told me as I saw two guys throw another guy off the cliff.

"Oh my god! Pull over" I told Jake and he did as he was told.

"Did you see that?" I asked him as I jumped out and ran across the street.

Jake laughed, "They're not really fighting, Lily. They're cliff diving. Scary as hell, but a total rush" he told me as I looked at the cliff.

"Most of us jump from lower down. We leave the showing off to Sam and his disciples" Jake added, a little angrily.

"Do you have a problem with him or something?" I asked curiously as I walked back to him.

"I don't know. They just think they run this place. Embry used to call them hall monitors on steroids. Now look at him" he told and gestured to the guy who dived off the cliff.

"That's Embry?" I asked shocked.

"Yeah" Jake told me.

"What happened to him?" I asked him.

"He missed some school. Now all of a sudden, he started following Sam around like a little puppy. Same thing with Paul and Jared. Sam keeps giving me this look, like he's waiting for me or something. It's kind of starting to freak me out" he told me.

"Just avoid him. If anything happens, we'll talk to Danny" I told him and he nodded.

After that he drove us to an empty street where we can drive the bikes.

"You look scared" Jake told me as I got on the bike.

"A little but I'm a little excited too" I told him as he stood in front of me.

"Brake?" He asked me.

"That one" I said and pushed down on the brake as he touched my hand.

"Clutch?" he asked and I pressed down on it.

"Gas?" he asked and I flipped the switch to turn on the bike.

"Ready?" he asked me and I nodded.

"Now, slowly release the clutch" he told me. I did and it jerked forward making me jump.

"Whoa" I said.

"You all right?" He asked me.

I nodded and laughed, "I got scared" I told him and he laughed.

"I'm gonna try again" I told him and he nodded.

I released the clutch and started going. I smiled happily before I was going to fast and lost control.

"Hit the brake!" I heard Jake yell before I lost control and fell off the motorcycle and hit my head on a rock.

I groaned as I slowly sat up and touched my head. Jake rode over then ran towards me, "I'm gonna leave the motorcycles to you and Danny" I joked.

I winced as I pulled my hand away and saw blood.

"Man, your head" he told me.

"I don't know how I'm gonna explain this to Danny without him finding out about the bike" I told him.

"Well right now him finding out is the least of your worries" Jake told me before taking off his shirt and tried to stop the bleeding.

I looked at him and noticed he looked different, he was bigger than before, "What are you staring at?" He asked me.

"You look different. Bigger. You have more muscle than before" I told him.

"How hard did you hit your head?" He asked me, smiling.

"Well I'm not seeing two of you so that's a good sign" I told him making him chuckle.

"Come on. Let's go" he told me as he helped me up and put the bikes back in the truck, then he drove me home.

A/N: I know Bella is supposed to have a moment with Jake in this part but since Edward is Lily's soulmate, she only wants to be with him. So don't hate me too much for taking that part out. Plus Lily is somewhat oblivious to Jake's feelings for her.
