Harry's pov"where the hell is jenny?" i asked the group, noticing she'd been gone for a while.
timothée looked around, "i saw her getting a drink so i let her go—but you're right, where is she?" he asked.
"she," emily paused, looking at kayla, "she went looking for marley, she didn't want you to worry." she said.
kayla seemed like she understood, though i knew she wanted to be upset that jenny didn't let her know. andrew and scott noticed we stopped dancing, asking us what was up.
"let's split up and look for them then." andrew said.
"okay, i'd say emily and i would go together but unfortunately we're in a club surrounded by a bunch of dicks, literally." kayla said with a sigh.
"solved, kayla come with me, andrew go with emily, and harry and timothée go look for your girl together." scott said with a wink, and i rolled my eyes at his comment, but went with timothée anyways as we split up.
"let's go." timothée said, downing his drink.
Jenny's pov
"oh look it's the business man." i said, marley quickly nudging my shoulder to shut me up.
"mr. matthews, what a surprise." marley said.
"oh please marley, call me griffin. you've worked for me for years now." he said, his hands still in his pockets as he looked at us.
he slowly moved his eyes from marley to me. "ms. sierra." he said, "how'd you get caught up in all of this?" he asked. "you see, this is why you just need to be friendly enough to get by, look at what you got yourself into all because you like to look out for the people you work with."
i couldn't even form a sentence, not being able to talk back. i was looking at the head of one of the most successful music labels, the guy that everyone worked for. the guy that i work for. not to mention he was loaded.
"now, i'd like to ask how you guys know about this." he said, looking around, "but obviously not in the men's room," he let out a laugh, "that'd be rude of me."
he nodded his head towards the door as he began to walk, and we followed behind him without any questions. i looked at marley, scared, and he shook his head, his expressions telling me to calm down.
we walked out of the bathroom and followed him as he went towards the back door, the security letting us leave with a nod. i wanted to curse out loud so badly from how fucked we were, but i kept calm as we were now outside, following him.
there was a black limo, yes, a black limo parked outside. and he approached it, the man standing next to it politely opening the back door for us. griffin thanked him as he went inside, and i went in next, marley following in after me before the guy closed the door.
marley and i sat on one side while griffin sat at the other, the luxurious interior basically calling me poor. the car began to move, and i looked at marley, not knowing what was going on. griffin reached over to the shelf of crystal tumbler glasses, putting ice into three of them.
"so, who wants to go first?" he asked as he picked up a bottle of whiskey. it must be his favorite drink.
"i was close with the boys, and they were losing their shit so they told me." marley spoke up as griffin filled the three glasses.
"i calmed them down and found out what hospital she was in so that they could check on her." he said as griffin handed him a glass.
he held out a glass in front of me, and though i didn't want it, i took it anyways—i didn't have much of an option.
