Jenny's pov
i coughed, waving the smoke out of my face. he found it funny, his lips forming a smile. he must've thought i couldn't see him, for when i looked back up, his smile had disappeared.
"am i hearing you right?" i asked, raising my eyebrows.
he tilted his head, "do you only know how to speak in questions?" he asked, looking to his right and into the hallway before looking back at me. "just hurry, i'll be waiting here."
still half awake, i tilted my head, staring blankly at him. he let out a sigh before he placed his hands onto my shoulders, leading me far enough into my room for him to shut the door. i stared at the dark brown door, looking at the mirror to my left to see myself in shock.
a single knock made me jump a bit, "you have three minutes." his muffled voice stated.
alright, so this is actually happening then.
i accepted his disturbance, running into my room and plopping myself right next to my open suitcase. i grabbed the item i saw first, a black hoodie. i rubbed my eyes as i made my way to the bathroom, causing me to hit my elbow against the door, a stinging pain rushing over my arm.
"fuck." i said louder than expected.
"dude shut up that sounds so wrong." i heard timothée whisper yell outside my door, causing me to let out a small laugh. stepping into the bright bathroom, i saw myself smiling in the mirror, quickly changing my expression. i'm not laughing because of him, i refuse. and plus i told myself i hated men.
my hands moved quickly as i ruffled them through the roots of my curly hair, removing the flatness that had formed while i was asleep.
my curls were more defined after i showered, so they were all over the place, parts still a bit wet from my shower. turning on the sink, i splashed cold water on my face before using the clean white towel to dry my skin.
has it been three minutes? i opened the door regardless of the time i had taken to see timothée leaning to the left of my door, his head up against the wall.
when he heard me open the door his head shot my way before he nodded his head towards the hall. he began to walk, and i quickly closed my door, hurrying my feet to catch up.
i stayed silent as we walked, timothée pressing the elevator button once we reached it. we stood on each end of the elevator as we waited for it to open. i opened my mouth to speak, but he put his finger to his lips, letting out a small "shh."
i sighed in annoyance as i crossed my arms, looking away. the elevator doors opened, timothée stood inside before i could even move my feet. i followed his actions, standing next to him while he pressed the button for the lobby. i sighed again, and he looked at me, his eyebrows raised.
"but-"
"but." he repeated me, cutting me off.
"where are we-"
"where are we." he mocked my voice this time, and i pushed his shoulder without thinking, causing my eyes to widen a bit.
"scared?" he questioned.
"of you?" i let out a laugh, "no, but of you taking my job away from me? yes."
he rolled his eyes, "it'd be hard to get rid of you, we're already here anyways."
the doors opened, revealing the empty lobby that was silent. all that could be heard was the water running down the center water display near the lounge area. our footsteps added to the background noise, timothée walking so fast that i was basically jogging by him, and we were outside in a second. he lead the way, walking to the reserved parking space where he approached a bike chained to one of the bike stands.
