Jenny's pov
here i found myself again, walking down yet another hallway to meet with the band.
soundcheck. guitars being tuned, voices being warmed up as people moved things around on stage. the last encounter i had with the boys was timothée ending his sentence with "that's if i let you take the job.", so i understood where my boundaries were.
i have the job, meaning he let me take it after all. it wasn't as simple as it sounds, attending numerous meetings and signing many papers had stressed me out.
the first arena they'd be playing at was here in los angeles, and as i stepped onto the stage i was in awe. thousands of seats surrounding the stage, all empty.
seeing the two other back-up singers, i got to my spot, my microphone being the last to the right. they chatted with each other, ignoring my arrival.
feeling awkward, i pulled out my water bottle and drank from it, clearing my throat as i saw harry enter the stage, timothée following behind him.
harry made eye contact with me as he put his in-ear on, and i impulsively gave him a small low wave. he looked me up and down before turning his head back, fixing his mic stand.
