Jenny's pov

i arrived later than i had planned to, rushing in five minutes late as i held onto the straps of my black bag. i could hear harry's voice in the distance along with the band playing, so i began to run down the halls now as i followed the sound.

the music was loud and clear as i stepped into the large room filled with equipment and instruments. harry stood in the center, singing their song as timothée stood by him on the guitar with his head bobbing to the beat. he had a microphone in front of him too, singing back-up.

i began to walk towards the chairs against the wall near the entrance, hoping i wouldn't disturb them

i began to walk towards the chairs against the wall near the entrance, hoping i wouldn't disturb them. i spotted their manager—i've met him only once in a studio session last year with james. he sat on one of the chairs, a large ipad on his lap as he wrote on it with his apple pencil.

he waved at me and gestured for me to sit by him and i did, the band finishing up a song.

"sorry i'm late—traffic." i whispered.

"it's all good, they're only on the second song— jenny, right?" he asked, pointing at me with his apple pencil.

i nodded, "harry told me to-"

"i know," he interrupted, "it's unusual of him to request people to join the team, usually he just works with friends."

the whole time we spoke quietly, the band going over things and playing instruments here and there.

"i wouldn't blame him, you have a lot of experience. james is a big talker." he said, causing us to both let out small laughs. i was relieved he was able to joke with me.

"yeah, a world tours a lot to take in—i feel just a tad bit pressured now." i said sarcastically.

"yes, just a little tiny bit." he laughed, and i smiled.

i heard harry's voice suddenly start to sing, the band beginning to play the song kiwi. my attention was all on him now as he sang. i glanced over at timothée and we made eye contact for just a second before he looked back at harry.

as harry sang "and all the boys they were saying they were into it, such a pretty face on a pretty neck." he made eye contact with me, slowly forming a smile as he gripped onto his microphone.

i crossed my arms, forming the smallest smile as he looked at me. i forgot how good his voice was, it had a little rasp, deep and smooth. it flowed so easily, hitting all the notes as he sang.

timothée's voice was softer, calm as he sang back-up though he was mainly focused on his guitar. his hair was about the same length as harry's, maybe a bit longer. it got in his face as he nodded his head to the music surrounding him.

the song was so energetic, i was focused on harry every time he sang a line. the whole band put in the energy, the girl on the drums perfectly playing, the guitarists and pianist effortlessly playing along.
