Everyone frantically looked around for you, they all grabbed their horses and started I race around.
"HERE!" Ymir yelled.
In an instant Levi was by her side, looking at the trail of disturbed dirt. Blood was splattered occasionally on the ground in small patches.
"She went this way." Levi nodded.
He followed the trail, but when he reached the end there was nothing there. All that was left was a mound of dirt, some blood and your torn up scouts cloak.
"Where could she have gone?" Connie asked.
They tried finding any footprints but there was none.
"The trail just goes cold, it's like she vanished." Jean sighed.
Everyone started where your body must've been last.
"She has to be around here somewhere."
Levi went to go looked, but a hand on his shoulder made him stop. His eyes with Erwin's sorrow filled ones.
"We can't waste anymore time. It's not safe."
"We can't just leave her." Levi growled.
Everyone was in shock, this was probably the most emotion they'd ever seen the cold hearted corporal show besides anger.
"She's not here anymore Levi. She's gone.."
"Well she can't have gone far in her state."
Erwin shook his head.
"Cadets head back, we'll be behind."
They were all hesitant but didn't want to disobey their commanders orders so they complied and sadly left. Leaving the pair alone.
"I want to find her as much as you do, but we can't."
"We can! We just need to look."
Erwin sighed, sliding from his horse, he grabbed your cloak and got back up, holding it in his hands slightly before handing it over to Levi.
"I'm sorry, you're to head back. It's an order."
Levi gripped the reins tightly, clenching his jaw as he stared at the ground.
After a minute he reluctantly turned around, snatching your cloak from Erwin in the process.
He held it tightly in his hands as he left the scene, leaving Erwin there alone.
He gave one more look around, hoping to see you somewhere. Yet, you were no where to be found.
"Where did you go...?" He whispered.
He was hoping for an answer, for you to come out from behind a tree or something. But the only sound he was met with was the rustling of leaves.
Quietly, he made his way back to join the others.
He wanted to find you, he wanted to search the whole area, br he knew it wasn't safe. He just prayed to anyone that might be listening that you might still be around somewhere.
That you were safe, and well.
A few stray tears made their way down the commanders face but he quickly wiped them away as he raced to catch up to the others.
"We could wait until dark." Christa suggested to him.
"It could be to late, she'll most likely be long gone from wherever she is."
Everyone nodded again, no one wanted to believe that a Titan had got you.
They want to believe that Otis took you somewhere safe to heal up, and that they'd find you soon. That, or you would return on your own once you were better.
"Levi, I'm sorry." Erwin whispered.
Levi never said a word back, he stared straight ahead, your cloak still clutched tightly in his hands as if it would somehow stop you from fading away forever.
"She's still alive somewhere. I know she is."
No one dared to protest with Levi, and Erwin certainly didn't. He believed you were, he was going to hold onto all hope that you were alive somewhere just like everyone else was going to
