You sat there trying to process that, it didn't make any sense to you. How would you have been given this power and not realised it? Surely you would've noticed it by now.

"Do not overthink this, we cannot be certain. But if you do not mind, I would like to try something."

Lucan stood up and you watched him walk away. After a moment you got up and followed him near the entrance of the cave.

"I would like you to try copy what I am about to do. Go towards the cave, run into the darkness and picture yourself at the base of the mountain. I will wait for you there."

You watched as he walked into the darkness and just simply vanished.

You copied him, walking instead of running. You pictured the base of he mountain the best you would, and Lucan standing there.

Closing your eyes, you stepped in. Nothing seemed to change, so with a heavy sigh you opened your eyes, ready to leave the cave again.

To your surprise you stood at the grassy base of the mountain, Lucan wearing a small smile on his face as he clapped slowly.

"Well done."

"I... what...?"

"It is called shadow travelling. You use the darkness or shadows, and you can move between one place as long as there is a dark patch there."

"Can Otis do this? He's a demon of shadows right?"

"Otis could do a form of this, yes. His would consist of shadows wrapping around his body, moving him about that way, he would not have to depend in the darkness to move him."

You nodded your head, Lucan gestured for you to head back up so you did the same, appearing at the mouth of the cave you walked out.

"Will this help me stand up to Micheal?"

Lucan nodded his head, waving his hand the cave entrance shimmered, lighting up showing a home of sorts.

"Come."

You followed him into his home and sat on a chair he offered. Lucan made you a cup of tea and placed it before you.

"If you are going to go face to face with Micheal, you must be ready to trap him like the great demon many years ago."

"But how do I do that? I'm a human, not a demon. I wouldn't know how to preform something like that."

"You are correct, you would not know. But when the time is right, it will be revealed to you."

"So its a waiting game?"

"Precisely."

You groaned and shook your head, sipping your tea before placing the cup back down.

"He said he'd basically do whatever he has to in order to get to me. Does that mean he'll go after my friends and loved ones?"

"Micheal shall stop at no cost to get what he wants. I suspect he shall ask to meet with you, if he does, go to him. See what he wants."

"What if he uses that to try kill me or trap me or something?"

"You are stronger then you suspect you are (Y/N), you have many skills that you have not quite figured out just yet. There is still time, just believe in yourself and focus on your training. Stay away from the other humans you are so fond of, they will be safer that way. Forget you ever even met them."

You clenched your fists and shook your head.

"No, I can't. They've done so much for me, I don't want to just forget them. I want to go back to them some day!"

Lucan gave you a sad look.

"You have been given a great power, I suppose it is more of a curse than anything. YOU have to be the one to stop Micheal, no one else can. It is like a begging game, Unfortunately, you must bet all or nothing."

"All or nothing..." you whispered.

"You must either throw away everything you ever knew in order to do this, or you can walk away and risk what consequences may follow."

"Every choice has a consequence Lucan. The consequence of doing this is loosing all that I've ever loved, the things and the people who I've grown to trust and the ones I love..."

Lucan nodded his head slowly.

"Yes, and the consequence of not doing this, could possibly be the end of everything you have ever known and loved regardless."

A thick silence fell over you all as you thought. Which one was better? Did you risk the whole fate of the world changing because of your selfishness to carry on living a relatively normal life?
Did you throw away everything you've done, everybody you've met and those you loved in order to save it?

You thought carefully about this, you didn't want to rush your choice.

"(Y/N)?" Lucan called.

You looked up, he was stood with Nathanael, a slip of paper between his fingers.

"Otis has found a letter addressed to you."
