You felt your feet hit the ground again, it felt like you had just jumped.

"We Are here." Nathanael said.

You opened your eyes and stepped away from him, taking in your new surroundings. You stood on the peak of a mountain, the cold air nipped our skin yet at the same time the sun warmed you up.

"So this is the prodigal child." A deep voice grumbled.

Startled, you jumped around, coming face to face with a bare chested man sat on a rock. He was rather well built, black eyes that seemed to stare into your soul and messy hair which was a jet black.

"Are you Lucan?"

"I am, and you are (Y/N), the woman that seems to have captured the interest of demons and angels a like."

You furrowed your brows and went to ask Nathanael what Lucan meant, but the other demon was gone, leaving the pair of you alone.

You turned back to face Lucan, he slipped down from the rock and took a few steps closer before circling you. It made you feel uneasy but you let him.

"How intriguing you are indeed. You appear to be human, yes you master demon skills so well."

You stayed silent, the dark haired demon stared you down for a few more seconds.

"What do you seek from me?"

"You wanted to see me?" You asked back.

"Indeed I did, but you also wish to speak to all us older demons, correct?"

You nodded your head.

"Why?"

"I want help, I want you to teach me everything you can. I need to know how to stop Micheal if there is a way, and I want to train to be able to do so."

Lucan hummed and started walking, beckoning you to follow him, so you did.

He led you up a snowy path, the cold didn't bother you much as it wasn't freezing. The night you got, the narrower the path became until you reached a large flat around on the side of the mountain.

To the side of you was a cave entrance, in front of you was just a big open space.

"Come here." Lucan said.

He walked towards the edge and you followed, finally you stood there amazed at the scene before you.

It was beautiful, from here you could see the walls far off in the distance, they looked so small.

You could see titans milling about below, large grassy fields and a river. Birds flew high in the sky, ahead of you was another mountain.

"It's amazing to be able to see so much."

"Indeed, it is. Do you see that mountain before us?"

You nodded.

"That is where Mikami resides. Are you aware of the story between light and dark?"

"I don't think so."

Lucan took a seat, so you copied him, swinging your legs of the ledge, just observing the scene before you.

"You cannot have one without the other, you need light for there to be darkness, you need darkness for there to be light. The two work hand in hand, much like life and death, peace and chaos, love and hate. Everything has a pairing, something that it must go with in order for there to be a balance. If there is too much of one, and not enough of the other, the balance will be tipped, and the fate of the everything shall change."

Lucan took a breath, pointing to the darkening sky in the distance.

"Where there is day, there is night. The same goes for a human, their soul is born in balance, yet as time goes by, the balance tips. Humans feel things too much, and push other things away. It is why they summon is demons and make contracts, and trap us within themselves or their children. It was once the same with angels and demons, we were balanced."

You turned to face him, looking at the way he gazed straight ahead.

"What happened?" You asked him.

"The balance was tipped, one angel craved more then he could have."

"Micheal?"

Lucan nodded his head.

"He cast his brother Lucifer into hell, and killed the other two arch angels, gaining their power. That is how we get stronger you see, we kill one another and absorb their power. Micheal craves this, he wanted it all so began a killing spree of his own kind, once he had had enough, he started slaughtering demons and humans alike for more. This tipped the balance of the world, Micheal became power hungry. One demon, a very old demon, one who was able to gain power naturally without having to do this, they had grown tired, and sealed Micheal away many years ago."

"What happened to that demon?"

"Nobody knows, they suddenly vanish. Many believe it is a myth, but us ancient demons had met this demon. We are not sure what happened to them, it is believed they decided to leave this world, and pass this power down until it was needed once more, as they had grown tired of being so alone. They had grown tired of seeing endless blood shed, pain and hurt."

"Did this demon have a set power?"

"No, they could learn any power they wanted with training. From demonic gifts, to the ones of angels. It is believed they were born to maintain peace in this world."

"Why are you telling me this? What does this have to do with me beating Micheal?"

Lucan faced you, his eyes serious as his face unreadable.

"Because if I am correct, I believe that gift as been passed on to you."
