Nearly two months had passed since your random disappearance. Although they weren't over it, and they wouldn't be for a long while, everyone had gone back to their old ways.

They were happy to see Levi ordering them about again and Erwin holding meetings with squad leaders and such once more.

"Where do you think (Y/N) went anyways?" Reiner asked.

It was something they did regularly, they tried to guess where you would be.

"I bet she's seen the ocean by now." Jean said from on top of the stables.

Everyone smiled at the thought of that.

"I wonder if she likes it, (Y/N) always did like the sound of water." Christa mused.

Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

"Yeah, she also liked really large open fields too." Eren said.

"And the sounds of birds in the early morning." Armin added.

Everyone nodded in agreement, smiled adorning their faces as the watched the sunset in front of them.

It was like a tradition now, just for you they would sit when they sky was clear and watch the sunset.

Unbeknownst to them all, Levi would always join them. He would stand with his back resting on the fence on the other side of the stables out of the way.

He would stay out here until the sun had fully set, imagining you sitting with him like always. When the wind ruffled his hair, he would imagine it was you.

Time slipped by slowly, and once the sun was fully gone Levi made his way back inside. Thankfully the cadets were long gone, so he made his way back to his office peacefully.

The only person he crossed was Erwin, who stopped him in the hallway.

"May I talk to you about the next expedition?"

Levi nodded his head and swung the door open and walked in, allowing Erwin to follow him to his desk.

Erwin sat on the opposite, he eyed a neatly folded bit of paper on the desk but didn't ask about it.

"This one we're going to stay along the walls. We'll spilt into two teams and try find the breach, mark it, and figure out our game plan from there."

Levi nodded his head, folding his hands u see his chin as he eyed the commander.

"What's the game plan for sealing it?"

"Well, if it's small enough we'll get Eren to patch it up. If not we'll get Eren to patch the bottom, and during the night constructors will work on sealing the top once more."

"Okay. How long will this take?"

"If all goes according to plan, roughly a month or two. Once Eren blocks the hole they'll start building on the inside while soldiers keep watch and then they'll begin to build outside during the day. It all depends on how well this expedition goes."

"Alright."

Erwin nodded his head and stood up, leaving the room quickly to finalise the plans while Levi sat there on his own.

He pick up his folded slip of paper and read over it again. It was the note he left for you, he kept it on his desk.

Placing it down, he grabbed a blank sheet of paper and his quill, sitting there for a few moments before he started writing.

It was hard, incredibly hard.

Most people find taking large man eating beasts down hard, or moving a heavy box.

Levi found writing down what he wanted to say, or actually say anything other then blunt comments and insults the hardest thing ever. Facing his emotions was next to impossible.

He'd been trying to do this every night for two weeks, and finally it seemed to be going his way. He was writing it all down without even thinking about it
