Chapter 15

As the minutes ticked by, the stronger the smell of death became, the louder the pounding of Titan feet were.

"They're all going to die..." you whispered.

You couldn't let that happen, you couldn't let them all die. You had to do something.

"Don't do anything stupid."

"I've got to." You sighed.

"Them I'm with you all the way."

You smiled slightly and looked behind you. They were closing in, and fast, it was no or never.

Leaning forward, you brushed your lips against Levi's cheek making him jump.

"I'm sorry...." you whispered, "I have to break our promise..."

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

You let go of his waist, yo could see Erwin watching you from the side. His eyes pleading you not to do anything stupid.

"(Y/N)." Erwin warmed, "Whatever you're going to do, don't."

"I'm sorry, but I can hold them back long enough for you all to get away. I love you guys, and I'll meet you at the walls, okay?"

"(Y/N)!" Erwin and Levi both yelled as you jumped off his horse.

You stood to the side and rolled your shoulders, spreading the power through your body, the guides appeared on your skin. Your eyes turning bright yellow as you gripping your blades.

"Now or never..." You growled.

Your friends all screamed your name as you started to walk in the titans direction. Two horses blocked your path.

"Get back on the damn horse now." Levi snapped.

"No."

"(Y/N), you can't take all those by yourself."

"Maybe not, but I can at least hold them off. The whole legion smells like death, including you Erwin, that's not a chance I'm willing to take. Now, please, get out of the way."

"No, not until you come with us."

You just laughed and shook your head. The titans were getting closer, all you needed was one opening, one little opening.

It came in the form of Erwin and Levi looks behind them. You quickly jumped over their horses and smiled up at them both.

"I'll see you later, okay? I promise, and this time I'll keep it."

You slapped their horses, and despite their efforts to try and turn them around, the horses raced forward.

The stench of death started to dim down and you smiled to yourself, eyeing up the monsters in front of you.

Shadows licked the base of your feet, and you begun to walk once more. You walked until you were close enough then jumped into the air, attaching your wires to one of them.

Levi cast a desperate glance behind him to see a streamline of black covering one of the titans, red flying into the air as its body fell to the ground and blackness surrounded another.

"We have to help her!" Armin begged.

Erwin sat there conflicted and nodded his head, yelling out the cadets names, Hanji, and Levi, he shouted that they would go back and help, and that mike was to lead them all to the walls.

Like hell was Erwin going to leave you behind, and just by looking at Levi and your friends, he knew they weren't going to either.

"If it gets to dangerous you're all to leave immediately!" Erwin yelled.

"Yes sir!"

Everyone spun their horses around and begun to charge towards you, their eyes anxiously watching you, keeping an eye to make sure nothing happens to you.

"Fuck." You cursed ducking under a Titan hand.

You had the attention of them all now, and it was hard to land a killing blow on them as the others tried to grab you.

Large finger made their way towards you, zipping just under them, you held your blades up, a trail of blood falling behind you and the Titan quickly pulling its hand back.

"Damn it..."

You were going to run out of gas soon enough, but you still had the upper hand. Throwing yourself to the ground, you readied yourself again and shot your wires at a largish Titan, the pounding of hooves filling your ears.

"Damn it, why did I think you guys were just going to go."

"Because you're an idiot." Levi replied jumping down from his horse.

"I suppose I could do with some extra hands." You smirked.

"That's what we're here for." Eren smirked bringing his hand up to his mouth.

You readied your blades and smirked, there was no smell of death. You seemed to have the upper hand here, and that's how it should be
